Nope. Exactly as I said. It has been going downhill over the last 2 decades, but 1 dancer on a Saturday night is pathetic. Even 3 years ago they’d rustle up 10. Thursday nights used to have so many girls they couldn’t get stage time.

Hmm, seems my sense of humor was lost on a couple of the adjudicators. Details. Rumors is an old time Jersey Roadhouse that has seen better days. The owner died last year and the place seems to be deteriorating. Walk in bathrooms to the left rectangle bar straight ahead. LD room beyond that. Configuration changes but now small booths w the walls cut down. Sign of problem. No more tap beer. That means they aren’t moving it. Used to have Newcastle on tap, 16oz for $5. Last night bottle of Bud for $5. The shots were $8. I bought the Manager a drink because I’ve known him since he was the bouncer at Ray’s up in Andover (now the Bare Den). He’s actually a nice enough guy. Brandy the bartender is back from Arizona. She used to dance with Lashes down at Smiles before that owner was indicted for credit card fraud and it closed. I called it “Dancers Wanted” because I wanted dancers. They used to have 10-13 on a Saturday night and the place would be rockin’. It’s a bikini bar. When the one dancer drops her top and lets you play on the floor, that’s a pretty good sign she would do more in back but I never found out. I think the price is still $20 a song, but nobody really counts. I was joking w Brandy and the other 2 guys that there was only 1 dancer. The manager got pissed and asked me to leave. One note, as I was leaving, a big ass luxury bus was dropping off about 20 patrons. There was plenty of room at the bar :)

At 53 I loved the reference to Paradise. Really entertaining review. Would love to know what the female manager was whispering though.

I think you guys are giving far too much credit to TUSCL if you think LE has to read these posts to figure out where to go for busts and who to target. Cops are customers too every day receiving the same services as you. They know where to go. For cripes sake, when the Super Bowl was in Phoenix, Newsweek listed a visit to the Hi Liter as one of the 50 must dos. The entry made clear it wasn't the beauty of the dancers drawing the crowds.

jbhack, it's become worse. Now they won't let the dancers sit on your lap. Apparently Charlie got hit with a $50,000 fine from the ABC. When are these owners going to fight back?
