I don't know what the Lido Room has to offer over a club like G2K (Goldfinger's Infinity Gentlemen's Club in Long Island City, NY), because i have never been to G2K. I am not going to comment about a Club that I have never been to. Apparently, some of the recent comments are from TUSCL members who have never been to the Lido Room. My comments on the Lido Room are based on several visits to the Lido Room's lap dance parties at various locations, including the more recent locations in the West Village, Rockefeller Center and Bryant Park. I am going back to the Lido Room on Thursday with some friends because they are making it easy to check it out. In fact, their website says at http://www.thelidoroom.com/#!nextparty/cnxt they are offering with a VIP invitation: Free admission for you and all guests before 8:30 pm Free lap dance card after Midnight with paid admission Free admission for the lady for any couple 750 ml bottle specials for $150 (plus tax and gratuity) You can't get more enticing than that.

The private lap dance clubs are great because you can get a lap dance in a semi-private room or area for the standard $20 a song. It is not the same degree of privacy as a VIP room in a gentlemen's club, but then again you are not paying $1,000 or more. The Manhattan gentlemen's clubs are great if you are on a company expense account and charging everything, but if you are shelling out your own cash, the private lap dance clubs are your better value. My favorite is www.thelidoroom.com because it is reasonably priced, not too crowded, has a great vibe, and the girls are just awesome. The dancers are an interesting assortment of international girls and college students who are friendly and low pressure. The dancers at the Lido Room don't just ask you for a dance, they spend some time and talk to you; and they are a lot of nice girl-next-door types. They are attractive, and range from cute to drop dead gorgeous. The lap dances are very sensual, as well.

I have not been to the new larger space in Midtown yet, but I have been going to the venue in the West Village with the red velvet sofas. I am realty impressed with the quality of the dancers at the Lido Room. My favorite is Sydnee who is a petite All American brunette with a killer body. There is also a tall blonde who is a professional model who is incredibly hot. The dancers have that perfect combination of being real hot, but still sweet girl-next-door types who are intelligent enough to carry on a conversation. The Lido Room is tamer than HLD, but the dancers are HLD caliber. I am hooked on this place and have been telling all of my friends to go.

Quality of the dances at New Lido is still very good. However, New Lido rules are no kissing, or touching of breasts or buttocks.

Also been to the other place that has tons of girls. The girls like working there because the DJ cuts the songs off and the girls make more money and hope you are too drunk to notice the difference. The new Lido has a good House DJ that plays full length songs, so you don't feel like you are getting ripped off.

Been to the new Lido Lounge and the dances are hot, talent great, but no touching of the breasts on the floor. Would rather be at Lido which is in a fully licensed adult club. On Thursday night, a lap dance party operating out of an illegal office loft with no liquor license was raided by Vice and everyone was ID'd and arrests were made.

Rickduggan. Chan may be a long term member of TUSCL, but that does not mean that his review is true, or that he was even there. I have been to Lido many times and what he says simply cannot be true. It is not that kind of place and that type of conduct does not occur at Lido. I go by what rattdog says which is that everything is out in the open and that type of conduct does not occur. Finally, as you admit, you are not from New York and you have never been to Lido.

Just updating my prior post. Went to the new 4,000 SF nightclub space near Bryant Park in Midtown, and felt it was too large and somewhat sterile. I am glad they switched locations to a new venue that is across from Rockefeller Center. It is larger than the West Village location, but not as large as the Bryant Park location. The Rockefeller Center location is well appointed and very classy. There is a full licensed bar. There are no private rooms, but there is a large semi-private lap dance room with about 10 sofas. Of course, I did not go there for the wall decorations or the drinks. My main interest was the dancers. I am always pleasantly surprised to meet one beautiful dancer after another. The quality of the dancers at Lido ranks among the best of the best.

Agreed, this article is just a rehash of what was said in the Lido Room website at www.thelidoroom.com Apparently, it was posted by Natasha who was some Russian or Polish girl who used to be a manager there. The new management team is much better. I have been going recently to the Lido Room's venue in the West Village with its red velvet sofas. I heard they have now moved to a new 4,000 SF nightclub space near Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan. The vibe is awesome and the girls are very hot.
