Guys, thanks for the additional insight into FC. The $20 seating may have been for a booth, I don't recall the detail. My impression was it would cost money to sit downstairs, but that may have been a misunderstanding. It is possible I was somewhat overcome by the anxiety of the moment.... first time walking into a strange club. But thanks to you all, I'll be prepared for my next visit.

Thanks Ironman. I frequent clubs 4 or 5 times a year and in different cities when I am on business. Pricing, rules for touching and available extras vary greatly. Regardless, I will heed your advice and negotiate next time I am at a club. Makes sense.
