What do you mean about strip clubs getting crackdowns? Did they get in trouble for Full Contact Lap Dances or did they get in trouble for extras? What year did Flight Club open?
When the crackdowns happened and you went to Lansing and Flint were full contact lap dances allowed in those strip clubs?
Do you know what year full contact lap dances started in the Detroit/Lansing/Flint area?

Any information is appreciated. I am comparing the mid to late 90's to 2013. I am trying to make a timeline on how things have changed in strip clubs and why things are changing. What is acceptable now during a lap dance to what was not acceptable back in the mid to late 1990's.

motorhead, Thank you for your response. What do you mean about the dances changing? Are you talking about now or back in the mid 1990's? Are strip clubs less contact than strip clubs in or near Detroit? Do you have any knowledge of what was allowed in a "standard" lap dance in the late 90's?
In my paper, I am trying to tie in what is considered infidelity in marriages?
It would be great if I could get some real life answers from men who are married and go to strip clubs.
Do you feel lap dances are cheating on your wife? If not, please explain why.

Thank you for the title of the book. I will check that out. I am a college student studying Sociology. One of the topics we are talking about is marriage, infidelity, prostitution and strip clubs in America. I am doing a paper about strip clubs. This is why I need information on lap dances. I picked the Detroit area since they are considered the KING of strip clubs in the Midwest.

Can someone answer my question about the history of strip clubs? What was allowed in strip clubs during the mid 1990's (1996)? Were lap dances more liberal then (Full Contact) or are they more liberal now?
Does anyone have any information about the strip clubs in Detroit during 1996? My husband went to a strip club in Detroit in 1996 and I was just wondering what was allowed back then? Was it basically just watching women take their clothes off or was there full contact lap dances? Does anyone know what the rules were in Detroit in 1996?
Also, how was the neighborhood in Detroit back in 1996? Was it gang infested with drugs? Was it run down? Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
