This isn't society. This is a strip joint. It's much different that the rest of society. And I love 90% of it.

"Plus for them to be seeing it on any level just seems like something they shouldn’t be exposed to." That's really the gist of it. If the kid sees girls in stripper clothes, or hears the girls saying dirty words, or anything PG or worse, it's got to be bad for the kid. However, if she's in a jam and got stuck with the kid because the deadbeat dad wasn't around for his turn, and the girls all understand to tone it down that day, and they keep the kid busy in a closed Lust area, maybe it isn't as bad.

Good review. Note that Saturday was a 70 degree day in October, so there might not have been the standard crowd and standard group of strippers. Saturday isn't usually a great day at Desire, though.

Great review, as usual. There is a new asian spinner that I've seen on Thur or Fri or Sat nights named Laylani. Not Kaylani, but Laylani, the same name as a a stripper who used to work here 5 years ago. Good loooking, thin, high energy. As usual, the adjudicators say you don't have enough details because you didn't list cover, drink prices, and dance prices, even though you can find all of that by clicking the name of the club, "Desire", at the top of the screen. For that reason, I precede all of my reivews with the following, which anyone is free to copy and paste, and which will get you posat the adjudicators: LOCATION: - GPS address for the club is 2 Globe St Providence, RI. Don’t use the address on this page or the club page, since some apps (like Google maps on a PC) confuse Franklin Sq with Franklin St . CLUB BASICS: - Cover charge: free during the day, $10 at night every night starting at 6 PM. - Beer = $6-10, Mixed drinks vary, but about $10-15, Water = $5. - Downstairs club has 2 bars, an outdoor patio, and a main stage which typically has girls on for 3-4 songs. - For $20 up front, you can get a “drink card”, which gives you $25 worth of value. - strippers rarely get nude on stage. And I mean less than 10% of the time PRIVATE (VIP) DANCES: - $25/35 for a topless/nude song in the lapdance area - VIP rooms are $150 for 15 minutes ($100 to dancer, $50 to house). I also tip the bouncer $10 to keep them from clock watching

Mrprov, I think the story is that the Saffire that you're talking about is an old, old Kaylani, and she was replaced by a new Kaylani who is Filipina, and may look similar, but is a different girl.

OldWhiteGuy, when I say 50, I mean actual conversations, and of course it's just a complete estimate. I'd bet that on any given Desires shift, I've only had an actual conversation with about 10 of the girls. And Tessa is probably my favorite current girl to talk to.

Just noticed that you said around 6:00. Ouch. Monday is the slowest day, but that is also the deadest time, as OldWhiteGuy said. The day shift girls usually start leaving at 6:30, and most are out by 7. The night girls slowly work themselves in, but you don't see all of them until about 8:30. If you go on Thursday afternoon, try to get there as early as possible, and it will be a different world. Most of the gilrs will leave at 6:30, so plan accordingly. However, not every girl will be on the floor downstairs. Some will be in VIP downstairs, and some will be in Club Lust upstairs in one of those VIP rooms which are much nicer. I wrote up a description of Club Lust at https://tuscl.net/review.php?id=375644 Quick version - VIP rooms are much nicer, and you can join for a quarter for $300, and you get back $240 in food and drink, or join for a day for $100, and you get back $50 in food and drink.

Good review. It certainly helps to make note of names, but I went to strip clubs for years without remembering any names, and just started after seeing other reviews on this board.

I think Monday is the slowest day at any strip club, especially in the afternoon. Belive it or not, Thursday and Friday afternoons are probably the best shifts at Desire. Tessa might have the best personality at the club, and I've probably talked to 50 strippers there over the years.

Good review. You won't get much of anything anywhere in Providence on a Monday. Desire is the best club in town, and in New England, but the best shifts are actually Thursday and Friday afternoons. I've been to a few strip joints in Florida, and they are much better than anything in New England. Every FLorida girl has to stay in decent shape, because they don't cover themselves in baggy clothes 8 months of the year. Strippers down there are usually in better shape than that.

Mrprov, I only had one (crazy) interaction with Saffire, and it was at the side stage, but it was a night I couldn't stay to do a VIP. I think she left and came back, had name change there, and I think is there now under a different name. OWG may know better.
