yep, that is my view of jimmy's also. decent place to have a beer and watch some attractive primarily black dancers. as stated in a prior post though in my experience the backroom dances are pretty lame.

It could be the day and time you were there. I've only been there 2 times. First time was as you described, the second time it was much better. The 2nd visit was on a Thursday evening BTW.

I have stopped by Arnie's in the past and it was never that busy in my experience, although certainly worse now. It will be interesting to see if they survive.

thanks for the update. glad to hear they are reopening. always liked arnie's as it is pretty laid back place. still haven't heard anything on why they got raided and had to close.

I think they just started blocking off the main parking area to charge for parking. Arnie's is what it is. Definitely not high end, and unless you are in to mostly "thick" black women it's probably not going to be your type of club. You definitely are not going to see many/any stunners working at Arnie's, but I still looking going on occasion.

yep, the smoke and both henry's and bogart's is horrendous if you are a non smoker. i also can't stay in either place for more than 30 minutes or so without having to leave and even then my clothes reek of smoke and eyes are burning. wish they would spend a few dollars on better ventilation in those dumps

I have only been to Arnie's once on a Sunday and it was slow. Also, even on Saturday's it is typically slow with few dancers until at least 8:30 or 9 pm. Yes, no cover before 7 but you end up sitting around waiting for dancers and ultimately buying more drinks. Sometimes better to go later and pay the cover.

Good review, but as a lifelong Chicagoan and someone that does go to Arnie's I will say Harvey is not a great area. Not as bad as some areas in Chicago, but it is a fairly high crime area. There was a shooting/murder at the gas station across the street during one of my visits in the summer.

Arnie's is always slow in the early evenings. The last few times I was there they only had two dancers in the club. Even later in the evenings you will be lucky if there are eight dancers working. Not a typical strip club if that is what you are looking for.

I don't want to preach here, but would suggest that posting about any activities other than dances may not be wise. You never know who may be reading these posts. Would hate to see Arnie's get closed.

I have also been to Arnie's many times and have not had problems, but I do agree the neighborhood is not great. There have been many reported issues in that area.

Very smokey is an understatement. Typically when I stop at H8N I need to leave after being there about an hour. It really is intolerable being a non smoker myself. Also whatever clothes you wore into the club cannot be worn again without washing as the

You are right about the smoke at Bogarts. Also at Henrys. When in Detroit I normally stop at those clubs, but can't take them for long either due to the smoke. I think if you are there for about an hour it is like smoking a pack of cigarettes. Not sur
