Pittsburgh: Rundown of the Steel City
Controversy could be hit or miss. There were a few cute and fun girls who showed up sometimes, but you’d have to fight off quite a few leeches also. 2 for 30 dances on Thursdays were a good deal, but then they started doing them in the vip party booths opposite the stage, instead in the back room. They never reopened when the bars were open. A dancer I talked to at Cheerleaders said she thought they were done. Cricket Lounge - also hit or miss. Some night way too many patrons with 2 dancers, other just the opposite. There definitely are cameras in the booths and couch “rooms”. You can see the monitor at the dj booth when going to the couches. It’s one of those Nightowl security DVR systems that the owner can log into also. Ricks - pretty much spot on, but there are a few dancers who are fun. It was great when they used to have a schedule posted, so it’s harder to know if it’s worth going any particular night without it. Cheerleaders - don’t forget the 2 for 1 dances until midnight on Tuesdays. It’s probably the best deal in Pittsburgh. Though the dance room can get crowded closer to midnight. 8-10 is about the right time to be there. Wednesday’s are half price rooms from 4-8, theoretically. However finding a dancer to do them is impossible. Not many dancers will show up before 8. The center stage isn’t open yet, so you can’t talk to dancers on stage. If a dancer does come out on the floor at all, they’re glued to regulars. Rhino - I never really liked it here, though I haven’t tried it since they started the 3/$75. $20 floor dances are useless and I don’t like to commit a $150 15 minute set without any idea what I’m getting.

Fewer chairs, but still typical hit or miss Cricket.
d4ylight, no dances this visit, so don’t take this as confirmation of current pricing... Unless things have changed dances are $25 or 2/$45 in a cramped closet sized booth. “Rooms” start at $120 for 15 minutes. The rooms are a dilapidated love seat that you sink into surrounded by sheets hung on a string. There are only 2 “rooms”. Occasionally a PL/dancer will have to walk through the occupied first room to get to the second. If it’s slow the cost of the rooms are negotiable depending on the dancer. Also sometimes they’ll take you to a room for a 2/$45.

How's Covid Enforcement in Your Area?
Here in Pittsburgh, we’re in PA’s “green phase”. Bars are now open at 50% capacity. According to the state there shouldn’t be any entertainment at bars though which means no live music, TVs, etc. I went to the Cricket and Cheerleaders last night and stage dancing (with DJ) and private dances were basically normal. I’m curious if the LCB is going to crack down on that at all. As far as masks, I was told upon entering both that masks are required when not drinking. That didn’t seem to be followed or enforced very much though.

    Slow night.
You can avoid the u-turn and a couple of lights. A couple off blocks before you get to the club, make a left and take the the road parallel to the train tracks. That leads right to the club.

    Clubbing on a budget
I wasn’t really looking to keep it cheap, but a few years ago at Cheerleaders Pittsburgh I was in and out with a LDK for less than $50. On 2-for-Tuesdays, dances are $25 for 2 and Coors Lights are $2. $0 Valet, I parked a block away on Penn. $0 Cover, I had a pass. $9 for Drinks, 3 Coor Lights plus $1 tip to bartender each drink. ~$10 in stage tips. $30 for the dances, $25 +5 tip. About $49 total.

Where would you go in Pittsburgh for a good time?
You really can't go wrong with either Blush or Cheerleaders. Each has their pluses and minuses which have been pointed out. If you're feeling adventurous, you could try The Cricket or ControVerSy. They are much more hit or miss, but if you find the right girl fun can be had. If you don't mind the drive, and the fact they only have Bud Light in a can, The Filly Corral has a lineup just as good, but a little smaller than Blush/CL. If you're looking for a brothel, head to Stilletos in New Brighton.

You can park one block over on Penn Ave., or on 31st Street on either side of the bridge. Now that the pub is closed, there is usually plenty of space over there. It's a pretty safe area.
