For several years all my strip club visits in Chicago were to either Club O in Harvey or Club 390 in Chicago Heights. However, I heard good things about Skybox, just a couple of blocks up Halsted St. from Club O, and decided to check it out last fall. Since then I've been to Skybox a total of three times, always on weeknights around 10:30. This review is a summary of those three visits. First of all, you can easily avoid paying the cover charge by going to their website -- http://www.skyboxchicago.com -- and having a coupon for free cover emailed to you. Second, each weeknight there is a 50-cent special on some kind of beer. On Wednesday night, for example, a Heineken costs 50 cents. For that matter, other beers cost $1.50, so the special isn't even that special. Third, the dancers are an excellent mix of ethnicities -- white, black, Hispanic, and Asian -- and body types, all with natural titties, as I recall. By the second of their two stage dancers ALL of the girls get naked. This combination of alcohol and nudity is rather rare in the world of strip clubs, though it can also be found (to some extent) at Club O and Club 390. Fourth, the lap dances are very attractively priced at $25 for two topless dances (in a rather public area) or $50 for five nude dances (in a private booth with a curtain). On every visit I have chosen the 5-for-$50 option and have been very satisfied with that choice every time. At one time contact was said to be low, but in my experience the five nude dances in a private booth allow for lots of two-way contact. In conclusion, I have much praise and no criticism of this club. Highly recommended.

This place represents a very high value. $50 for 5 full contact lap dances in a semi private booth. What's not to like? You're not going to find super hot dancers here, but what you lose in hotness you gain in mileage. They seem to have a prohibition on grabbing tits, but it's otherwise full on nude grind. Nudity on stage is good and pretty close up too. I've gotten dances that are pretty mechanical, but they got the job done needless to say. Alice is a good looking white chick who looks like a pin up girl, but her lap dances are mechanical. Sage is a very fit tanned white chick with a nice body, but here lap dances are also a bit mechanical. Trinity is a decent looking white chick and a fun girl to talk to, but yes (you guessed it) a bit mechanical in the lap dance department. Still fun and a good value. Oh and the beer is dirt cheap!!!!

I've been to this club before. I really can't resist the 5 for $60 private dances! There were a decent amount of dancers on duty, but finding the one I wanted wasn't easy. I'm not really into black chicks and this club is about 65% black (at least on the occasions I've been there) but there are also some VERY nice hispanic and white chicks too. After waiting around for a while and observing the talent on stage, I did go to the back with a hot brunette (can't remember her name but she was about an 8) for 5 very unforgettable dances. Pretty good two way contact and decent amount of time. You can't beat the prices!! So, if you've got some time to kill, this place won't be too hard on your wallet and if you can find the right girl you won't be disappointed at all. Definitely prefer over Club O!

The reason to come here is that it's a place that serves cheap beers ($1.50 or less) while naked women also happen to be on hand. These women vary in quality a great deal, but some are average or a bit better. Another plus is that these women are pretty ethnically diverse. The only time I visited, I didn't get a lap dance, but the deal seemed to be 2 dances for $25 or 5 for $50...although, if you don't immediately show interest, some of the dancers might eventually offer you 3 for $20, as one did when I was there.

Stopped by with some friends recently. The quality of the girls was not great for a weekend on this particular evening. The best looking girl was actually one of the waitresses who was walking around selling shots. In terms of the dancers only one rated above average, and considering they had 20+ girls working that wasn’t a good thing. They did have a variety of ethnicities shapes and sizes and most of the girls got completely naked on stage when you go up to tip which was nice. They had a lap dance deal (5 songs for $50 I believe), but from what I noticed the DJ only plays about half of each song. The contact on the lap dances is limited (your hands aren't allowed to roam) and they have security guards patrolling the area to make sure you stay in check. The best thing about this place is the cheap drinks in my opinion.

My friend and I went to Skybox again last night and as usual it was a great time. Cheap beers, a variety of women (all races and body types), not too much pressure, etc. The dancers are all nude and they have some real hot dancers here. It added up to a good time and our wallets did not take a big hit (which always happens at Club O). I do not know if extras are available here (I think not but could be wrong), but the 2 for $25 or 5 for $50.00 dances are worth it and have decent contact with most of the women here. The music is a little loud for some peoples' tastes, but I don't mind. Plus it seems relatively safe every time I have been in there, it's not really in the heart of Harvey. This club appeals to people who like whole in the wall places and want to stretch there money out during the night. Also, they always have drink deals on certain nights and free online passes you can print on their website. It's the best bang for your buck in the area, but I would check Arnies out too to switch things up.

Happened to be in the area last week so thought i would stop in. Kinda wished i hadn't. 5 dollar cover, not too bad, 1.50beers very reasonable. the bartender even mentioned sometimes they are only 50cents during the week at night. the problem here is the girls. only 2 in the afternoon, and uh both were not uh muuch to get excited about. since i am not mentioning names or looks i can say that one of them had the worst BO i have ever come across on a girl. No joke!! The other girl was average at best. They were both sweet in a way and friendly but i would have not stopped in had i known this was the talent.

A pretty good place, the girls were friendly, but not too pesky. They rubbbed-up cozy while introducing themselves. The deal for private dances seemed pretty good, but after being bombarded when I first got there, the girl I wanted never seemed to leave the backroom. Waitress service was pretty attentive, the rail (and draft beer prices) were good, but the drinks were WEAK!! Was forced to check a coat, which means its not a courtesy so I didn't tip for it. Main negative was having to sit on uncomfortable bar stools and have standing guys in the way of the stage. It was crowded for a while, but not that bad. The girls were pretty good looking 6-8/9s, about 60% black, all young.

My friend and I made another visit to Skybox recently for his birthday. This is our go to club. The cheap prices on drinks and 2 for $ 25.00 dances or 5 for $50.00 make this the best bang for your buck. There are always a variety of girls and it is a good time. The club is big enough and has space. Not the most nice or glitzy, but it is not run down or dirty. You feel safe in here to for the most part. I don't believe extras are available here (go to Arnies or maybe Club O for that) but this is the best place to chill probably and make your money last longer. The bartenders are usually nice here too and come around alot and very friendly. Club O, while nice, is way more expensive with the drinks and dances. I prefer Skybox to Club O and other clubs around then area. Check it out!

I've been going to this club off and on for years. Seems like its different every time I go -- at least with the quality of the dancers. Sometimes there are a bunch of babes who can't do enough for you, others they seem to be teenagers still in high school that don't have a clue of what's going on (don't care for the too young looking girls...others might but not me. Also, the lap dances can vary quite a bit between dancers. There doesn't seem to be a certain standard of what's allowed touching wise; sometimes no touch at all, other times it seems like the dancer is sneaking you a feel or more. All depends on their attitude.

I walked over to Skybox after a slow night at club o. Best thing this club has going for it is its proximity to O, if one is having a slow night it's a two minute walk to the other. I got there early and drinks were dirt cheap, so that was nice. Was not impressed with any of the dancers so I did not get a lapper, I instead spent my time watching a bachelor get embarrassed on stage. I will be back, but I think I will go later in hopes of finding a better dancer for some privates.

Stopped by around 3:30pm when they open. The setup is similar to Heavenly Bodies. A lot of neon lights and 2 stages. Cover was $5. Drinks - This is the best value for watching naked girls and cheap beer. A bottle of beer cost $1.50. No, that's not a typo. Beer is $1.50. By far, this is the best value for beer I've seen anywhere. Girls - there were a few black girls, 2 white girls, and 1 latino. The dances are $10 per dance. They dance all nude in the lap area and after the 1st song on stage. The stage tipping is pretty good. You get to see things up close and has good views. Overall, the place is a good value for your money. I did take a few lappers, but they were very tame and no touching and little grinding. I was not impressed. I may go back because its a 2 hour drive for me.
