Last Tue I met up with a dancer that I had not seen for over a year. I knew that she had just recently starting dancing again. Part time. 3 or 4 days a month. I knew this from other dancers that know her and they have kept me up to date. She was my 2nd ATF. I was sitting with my current #1 favorite and she knew about my relationship with the former ATF. She gave me free reign. I spent 2 hours with my old flame getting caught up and getting 4 2 fers. She has not lost her touch. She is a paramedic now and she left the club in her uniform. If one of these dancers ever gives me a heart attack, I hope that she is one of the responders. After she left my current #1 favorite rejoined me. I asked "are you pissed?" She replied "Of course not. I understand. We have even talked about you." Well, I did not ask what the conversation was about but assume that it was nothing derogatory.
jablake, physically she has not fallen apart. Mentally: she has her act together more than ever. Divorced the ass hole and got a real job with a future. Says she just likes to come back to the club and see her dancer and customer friends.
Where have the others gone? One put herself through college working at my favorite club. She now has tenure at USC teaching. She still dances occasionally when school is out. One is a real estate appraiser but still dances part time. Two are working the front desk at hotels. One, a heroine user, just had a premature kid that was luckily not addicted, got fired and moved to Charleston with her boy friend. One quit and went to work for Michlelin with her boy friend. She cuts the excess rubber off of the tires. Several were married to service men that got transferred and they moved with them. One is an aerobics instructor but still dances occasionally. Lastly, one is working on a farm in the Columbia area. She was always country.
I have one of these type of favorites myself, only she dances only 2 or 3 times a year. She does medical records at a hospital. She has her act together. It's nice to know some dancers can have it going on upstairs.
The last favorite that I saw was a mess. At least physically. She claimed to be a dancer that I knew and I was just shaking my head NO because she was just unappealing. Sure enough it was the same dancer and I did buy some dances (just because I liked her so much in the past), but damn that girl went down hill fast. Drugs weren't to blame this time. She likes greasy fast foods and plenty of it. A before and after featuring her might make a nice public service ad.
It is very nice to hear mainly positive stories. I'm sure surprised you know so much just by visiting once a month. I guess it is quality more than quantity.
Bro: The dancer that inspired this topic told me that she could not do this for ever. I have to be corrected. I reported that the oldest dancer at my favorite club was 48. Now I am told that she turned 50, 3 months ago and is a substitute teacher. Damn! If all 50 yo's looked that good, I might reconsider getting married again.
I have to say that running in to old friends when you come back to a club is one of the best things about coming back. I had such a good time with my old friend. I was really nervous when I first saw him because I left so abruptly with no explanation...but I had no choice. I have found that sometimes life deals you a bad hand and you have to do whatever it takes to fix it. I found that my friend and you know who you are turned out to be a true friend, although he didn't understand why I had left so quickly with no word after we talked he was forgiving and just as nice as always. I know you are reading this so I want to say that I am truly sorry that it had to be that way for awhile...but I am so glad that I got to see you and catch up.
