It is more a government decision than a club decision. It can sometimes vary by the dancer here in Indianapolis. They can get fined by the government if they don't but some do go without pasties. Some strip club managers look the other way when it comes to strictly enforcing local laws. A number of small town strip clubs here have disappeared but the ones that remain tend to be more strict than the big city clubs. For example, the last time I visited the Crawfordsville strip club, the girl did not allow me to touch her breasts at all. The only strip club outside Indianapolis that I like and can do a day trip to is the Hiphugger in Kokomo.

Thanks @docsavage I heard about the rule if club is selling alcohol. Is there any club that does not sell alcohol and allow topless dances without pasties? Or like BYOb clubs?

@Darkblue999 I have never been in a strip club in Indiana that was not selling alcohol. So if there is a law allowing no alcohol clubs to have dancers without pasties there are no clubs I have been to that are taking advantage of it. I have not been to every club in the state so there may be such a strip club I don't know about.

Pasty laws seem to be more enforced these days. I just visited Brad's Brass Flamingo, and all girls had on pasties while on stage. I had one dancer give a non-pasty lap dance, but find that to be increasingly rare.

To docsavage's point, Hip Hugger was one of my go-tos for non-pasty mileage. But, my last visit was disappointing. Very subpar girls, with 100% pasties.

It seems to be a sign of the (Indy) times.

@Rod84 I visited Brad Brass recently. Saw few dancers have pasties and few don't have them.

A few years ago, a dancer at the Rio (RIP) told me that there's actually a reason behind the pasties. Apparently someone's of the belief that if a woman is breastfeeding, a pasty could prevent a man's saliva (and any potential diseases) to pass.through the nipple , into the breast milk, and back out into a suckling child.

I'm going to open a strip club that also has a bakery. All the dancers will be required to wear pastries.
