Police officer christopher baldner was sentenced to 7 years in prison… for pulling over a black dude for speeding. Black dude attacked the officer, sped off at 130mph, the officer chased after him, used a pit maneuver on the car, the car crashed and black dudes daughter in his car died. The father (tristan goods) got no punishment at all, via arguing he sped at 130mph for being “in fear for his life” from the cop. The officer was found “guilty” of second degree manslaughter.

The father bears responsibility for his actions, and has paid for it with the life of his daughter. Baldner, however, demonstrated atrocious judgement, and rammed a car at 130 mph knowing there were children inside. It wasn't a "pit maneuver" as you call it. The court found Baldner didn't meet the criteria for executing the maneuver, and that he ignored agency protocols and showed poor judgement. It's good to be supportive of the police, but we as a society should also demand that officers are held to a high standard, and don't act with reckless indifference.
@Mrsuntan cops have the right to do whatever they can to pursue as well as stop a car speeding at 130mph. They should do whatever they can to ensure that the car theyre pursuing doesnt damage other cars, but they arent responsible for anyone inside of the car speeding 130mph.
Justice certainly wasnt served here, and I hope and pray that the father faces true justice, both for what he did to his own daughter, and the false unjustified punishments the cop got. The guys daughter would probably have grown up to be criminal scum like himself.
The person choosing to speed at 130mph is responsible for anyone inside of the vehicle. Cops are only responsible if they ram the car and make the car ram into someone elses property or vehicle. The deadbead father knew his daughter was in the car and still chose to speed to 130mph.
