Trip report for August

This trip report is not about specifics of the girls, pricing or details like that. If I do a review, I will put those details in specific club reviews. This is about observations regarding TJ / ZN in general for the TJ forum after just returning from a trip.

Hong Kong interior has been upgraded with video displays everywhere. Not in terms of TV screens but both the main stage area and the back stage area has long about 2 to 3 foot tall LED banner displays that run all around the room. The columns in the room used to just be simple columns but they are now wrapped to be round tall video screens as well. On these screens they display mainly designs like fire or colorful patterns. I was with a fellow TUSCL contributor on of the late nights and he didn't even notice them but once I pointed them out, he said "holy shit" realizing they added all that. I guess too many chicas to focus on for him.... Hahaha. So basically it does add to the aesthetics but isn't a major change or anything.

For those who stay in Cascadas, the front counter for HK where VIP guests can get their drink tickets, etc. used to be by the front lobby at HK before the black curtains but now has been moved to the small Miami lounge area. When you walk in the Miami lounge, there is a bar to the right of the entrance and now to the left is the glass counter for the HK "front" counter.

Also behind the Miami lounge, the corner area between the Miami extension, they did add large TV screens and that is a smoking area now as well as the back half of LC.

I know there has been free breakfast on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings (for Monday and Tuesday night guests) in Azul if you have the VIP from Cascadas but I never actually tried to use it. Checking in at hotel registration they gave me two cards for breakfast. When me and another friend who also stayed at Cascadas tried to use it, we were told like the free beer tickets, you need to go to the HK "front" counter (mentioned above) and get your ticket. So at night, we went to get the ticket for the next morning since we were in HK and they said you have to come during the hours of the free breakfast. Needless to say, we never took advantage of the free breakfast because I wasn't running up and down. If I did go down for a free breakfast ticket, I would probably run into a sexy chica that caught my eye and would be having beers for breakfast so I never took advantage of the offer.

In general ZN Monday night was quieter than I have ever seen both in number of chicas and clients. This included 3 clubs (HK, BT and CC). I usually go on Monday and Tuesday nights so I know how they usually are. The quality was still excellent and had a great time. Tuesday night was packed with chicas and the ratio of dancers to clients was awesome if you are guy visiting. With ratios like that, in general, chicas come up to you more, they are not as in a rush either which can lend to higher service levels. Of course your milage may vary.

So for this trip, I splurged on a room. I usually get a certain type but after probably 10+ trips with the same room type, I wanted to just change it up a bit. I tried a PH View Suite. It costed an extra $34 per night for $88 per night which is reasonable. Not sure if it was worth it but it definitely was fun. At the 70% discounted Monday and Tuesday nights, just figured it was a low risk splurge to make the trip different. The main benefit to the suite is there is an actual bedroom with a door and window to the suite area and entry area. I believe because of this, both nights I didn't hear anyone in the hallways or elevator because you are in another room from the front door to the hallway which might be worth the extra cost. As a view suite would imply, there are long windows which does help with getting daylight if desired unlike the type of room I got before with no windows. Yet the draw back to that is you can hear road noise as some of the windows are not sealed tight yet it became white noise to me. I'm not going to lie, it was fun and a chica did want to use the hot tub in the suite area so that was fun as well.

The trip itself was just wild fun. I already planned to go down with a fellow TUCSCL vet but then 2 other TUCSCL vets met us on Tuesday and it was fun to know people around going to the different clubs especially with good people like them.

There is alot of discussion regarding the decline of dancers working in clubs in the US . Was wondering if there was a similar decline in Tijuana for whatever reasons .

@Danton - I talked to 2 hotel workers (registration and security), a restaurant waiter and 2 dancers from different clubs that I have known though the years and they all said it has been really slow. They have hope once they weather gets better things will pickup.

My impression is that the girls are not as attractive as in years past in keeping with the trend in the US . Did you find that to be the case ?

I wonder if the feeling that the girls are not as attractive really stems more from the fact that as we get older and more seasoned it is much more difficult to find things that truly amaze. When you’re young everything is awesome but after the seven hundredth steak dinner they all seem to blend together, no?

I actually could make a guess to why people are saying and might be observing the girls are less attractive in the states simply because over the years, even think from the 1980s to now, the quality of life in the US has continued to get better. There was a CBS report last week titled "the upper middle class is the highest income group in the US, study finds". Obviously, I'm not saying a study is fact and this is true but it isn't a far fetched possibility.

Now, in HK, you still have a bunch of knockouts. I'm going to attribute that to the lifestyle in Mexico isn't the same as the US (just a guess and option on my part). I mean if you had a couple of these in a US club it would be great but there are everywhere in HK. What is great to is they have ever size, from petite to very busty with large caboose. The one thing they don't allow is fat. If you gain fat, they relegate you to the other clubs. Picking between 7s and 10s is all you do in HK. That is why I'm probably one of the few who doesn't pick as much based on body type there anymore but based on personality and service. I prefer probably more spinner types in general but this last trip I ended up having met amazing very busty ladies and hung with them for hours simply because they were wild fun and loved to laugh and party.

Personally don’t go to clubs that often but the ones I did go to have had a definite drop off whether due to changing attitudes , economics, ownership or whatever. Both fewer dancers and customers. In Hong Kong it probably helps to be younger to have a party like time.

@Danton - Oh no, I don't see any correlation to having to be younger to have a party like time at all. HK clients in general are not in the 20s and young. Most I met are in their 40s or older. Don't get me wrong, there is a decent percentage in older 20s or younger 30s but as in life the ones who it is easier to spend in general are those who worked longer in higher paying jobs. Of course I'm not saying there aren't guys in their late 20s making more than older guys but just in general.
I don't see any correlation of age and party like time. I party pretty hard until the wee morning and I'm no longer 20 or 30. You do make connections so you could always contact them for another trip if you like or like me, I like to meet new experiences and then maybe one might go back to find an old friend to party with again.

I think you have to understand there is a difference between partying and having wild fun versus wanting a girl to catch feelings. This isn't in general the spot you are trying to impress romantically. Once you get that out of the expectations, you realize it is just wild fun for those who have dedicated a certain amount of cash to do so. Like going to Disneyland, you go knowing you will spend x amount of money and just go and have fun.

Just to be clear, you do want to impress the chicas with good hygiene, grooming, clothing and stuff like that because it makes it easier for them to get close to you for fun. I'm just saying you are not doing so to try to win them romantically. That isn't a headache I want at least.

Most of the dancers I’ve met were nice and away from home so it’s natural they would want to have fun in addition to work. Once one of them familiar to me wanted to show me around the city and go to a local popular restaurant but I was unsure of the safety of such an endeavor and declined . I was going to go to a local restaurant with another but never worked because of her schedule, perhaps for the best. But it would be interesting to get a better insight into Tijuana and the local culture and HK

@Danton I am about to have the 10th “anniversary” of the first time that I walked through the doors of Hong Kong. Having itchy feet, I have explored far beyond the amazing clubs in the Tijuana Red Light district, often with a chica from the Red Light District. Dinners out at exceptional local (and modestly priced) local restaurants. Overnights in comfortable, reasonably priced hotels, some with great appointments, such as a Jacuzzi.

In all that time, I have had exactly one incident, I was robbed…by the police…in the Red Light District. So, the bottom line is “life contains a particle of risk.” And most fear is the result of overblown, isolated, rare incidents. Three rules:

  1. Don’t be a drunk.
  2. Don’t be an entitled asshat.
  3. Don’t fail to pay attention when that little voice says, “Danger! Danger!”
  4. Don’t believe them when they say, “These are the rules.”

@justinyoo good observations. Until you mentioned it, I missed a lot of the differences. Must have been distracted by something.
