Cascadas Mini Fridge

Seeing Jascoi respond for some reason reminded me of him mentioning that he has emptied out the mini fridge before bringing chicas into the room. I believe it was him.

Well anyways, I took a picture on my October trip on what drinks and the number that are stocked in the mini fridge (8 in total). I also noted it to be the same quantity of drinks stocked on my Nov and Dec trips as well.

Many recommend checking this right when you check in so that you ensure are not missing any and getting falsely charged. I would hate for someone to check in and there were no drinks in there and get a rude awakening during checkout costing you 8 drinks.

I never emptied the fridge until after the October trip when a chica opened 2 drinks costing me an extra $10. One of them she just cracked open and didn't drink the water and put it back. During checkout, they caught it. I didn't know it was opened but remembered her holding the water bottle so that made sense to me... ugh.

Anyways if I didn't have any drinks ahead of time, it wouldn't bother me if a chica got thirsty and wanted a drink from the Cascadas stocked drinks. The issue I had was, I make at least one or two Oxxo runs and stock the fridge with water, 6-pack of Tecate Light (blue), Diet Coke, etc. She just happened to grab the ones with the HK sticker instead of the ones I bought. So there was no need to purchase $10 on 2 drinks when I had the same drinks available.

So the last two trips, I did remove all 8 drinks and put them in the drawer above/next to the mini fridge and just stocked drinks I purchased from Oxxo. Then before leaving for checkout, I put them back in the fridge and both trips I have gotten my full deposit back.

This is just something that popped to mind and acts as a PSA for newer travelers to Cascadas if they are wondering.

I had not thought of this before reading your post, but it's probably like the fetcha hustle downstairs. I had not been asked about the drinks in my mini fridge until recently, now they girls ask every time. I'm going to do exactly what you did. Take a pic, then remove all the stuff, then put it back before checkout. Thanks for posting.

@BumHip - I initially thought the same thing in regards if chicas would get a kick back but in my case, I just didn't see it possible after thinking about it.

I was there multiple days with multiple chicas. I actually walk the chicas back down to the club and in all my years, I have only heard the chicas say a name when checking out of the hotel and never a number. Even so, there is no way to validate a number as well from one of many chicas over a few nights.

Lastly, she was the first that I could ever recall opening drink with a sticker. I think she truly just went in and randomly grabbed because she wasn't really looking closely. If there was incentive for a ficha, I promise almost every chica would ask, "can I have a water baby" before leaving but this was the first time. All this leads me to believe there is no ficha for cracking a drink open. Oh and the first drink she opened, the container was still in the room so we are not seeing chicas hold containers with stickers going downstairs as well. More reason to not believe it is a hustle.

I could ask one of my chica friends or Cascadas staff friends who I go out drinking in the clubs with to confirm (one works as security).
