Do you need to read a good review(s) of club before you visit?

I myself like the going in blind but I feel like a lot of guys use this site exactly how it's intended; where you see where all the better clubs are at without having to visit the bad ones. They want to know exactly what they are getting into.

The only issue is that how do you find the new good strip clubs on the board if everyone just keep going to the same places all the time. There should be a mandatory annual you gotta take one for the team raview.

I prefer to get a description of the club mode and the current pricing. It is also a good thing that the hours and days (open) are known. It sucks to bump into a closed door on a club that changes its hours of operation on a weekly basis. I haven't bumped into a shuttered club (yet), without knowing of its demise.

went to Mardi Gras in Springfield, MA, told 2 more clubs nearby, Teddy B's? and another dive, dude asked if we wanted drugs. First times in Providence, going strip club to strip club, but seeing a strip club on the way and turning in. So no reviews needed, just a club.

I've been to clubs that I thought were shitty and vowed to never go back until I read a good review.

Yeah, that's why I joined this site in the first place LMAO. I'll at least check the rating if I don't check out too many reviews.

I'll give it a shot with a club that has no reviews (or one I haven't read reviews) as long as it's a no cover charge or low cover charge.

I only go to good clubs in major cities across the US, so not many of them and it’s obvious which ones they are if you read this site somewhat consistently.

I'm with Shadow - I'll sometimes (re)visit a club I formerly avoided, if recent reviews are encouraging. When on the road, I also use it for clubs I've never heard of. Currently, I'm wondering whether the Whitehouse in Auckland is worth it. So far, maybe - but reviews are sparse and mostly old. I may cave and TOFT.

It doesn't have to be a good review, just an accurate one.

A negative review can have a solid breakdown of prices but then say "man it sucked there were only chubby white girls there"... meanwhile that's right up my alley. Or a review can inform you a club is obviously unsafe and I know I probably won't venture over.

Most often, what makes me think a club really isn't worth a visit is when most reviews complain it's boring and they're spaced several months or years apart. But if it's not reviewed often and there's even a glimmer a promise... yep, that's worth TOFTT.

I will definitely read the reviews for clubs in unfamiliar areas if there is a possibility I might be close. Unfortunately I don't travel nearly as much as I used to, so rarely get to experience new clubs.

Clubs without reviews are sketchy.

I really don’t like to waste time or money, so I rely heavily on reviews when traveling to a new city.

Your perception is as only good as the previous raviewers.

Raviews help for those little details like cover charge, average lapdance price, what to expect in VIP, etc… which help tremendously but over the years I’ve been to clubs and had a horrible time when the raviews were great, and a good time when others mostly knocked a club.

I have found if you find a club in a small town, there will be a lot more positive raviews because IMO most of the raviewers probably haven’t been to larger city clubs often (if ever) and have way lower expectations of a strip club experience compared to most of the guys active on this message board who have not only clubbed all over the county but many internationally.

There’s are guys writing glowing raviews of clubs everyday where in VIP these poor PLs self service themselves in and do not realize what is available at other clubs a few hours down the road. If they’re writing a raview on TUSCL you’d think they’d be able to figure it out - but many don’t.

@shailynn: " If they’re writing a raview on TUSCL you’d think they’d be able to figure it out - but many don’t."

A ffew years back, founder commented that the discussion boards get a ridiculously small fraction of the traffic that the reviews do. So it's entirely possible that most of the reviewers never even see anything about extras, especially if they exclusively club at places with no extras.

As for the titular question, it's depends on why the review is "good". If it's a glowing review of a no-extras, no-contact, close-your-eyes-before-entering club, then all the good reviews in the world won't make me spend any money there.

If a "good" review means an improving trend on the features that are important to me, then yes. One club I've avoided for a long time have garnered fairly decent reviews from some trusted reviewers lately. I'm now considering visiting that club.

  1. Bad reviews hurt more than good reviews help, especially if it's the same people reviewing the same clubs over and over.

  2. Think about room for error. If a club has a huge cover or is the only viable club within 50 miles, it better be damn good. On the other hand if there are other good clubs close by, I'll say "what the hell, nothing to lose."

  3. Think quality of the review. A well-written review says it's frequented by smarter people, which is always a good thing. If it's well-reviewed by a tough reviewer, that's good too.

  4. If a club used to be good but sucks now, it must really suck and is probably coasting off the past.

I look at the reviews before visiting a strip club. Quite often, if there are few reviews from the locals that is an indication that the strip club is pretty bad. I tend to go for strippers that are petite so appreciate it if that kind of information is provided. If my type is not there, I want someone who at least appears to be young and in good health. That means no obesity or obvious signs of a serious drug or alcohol addiction.

reading good reviews is very helpful for me to check it out myself. Although occasionally, I just check it out if it looks interesting or I’m in the mood.

No way. I've been the first reviewer for two clubs on here. Sometimes you TOFTT, sometimes it pays to be first.

Use the reviews as a starting point. Especially in new cities. Mostly interested in avoiding obvious dangerous areas , parking, or neighborhoods. Not looking to get stabbed in the neck which I guess is why I tend to dayshift when exploring new territory

Given a choice, I'll try the place with a good review first. Sometimes, there's no choice, so I'll go to a place with lousy reviews just to see if they're valid. They almost always are, but you never know when you'll find a diamond in the rough, and a pop in for a drink and maybe a dance isn't a huge investment. Couple times, the places weren't as bad as the reviews made them seem, and I'll write those up. . If it's thinly reviewed, even if the experience was lousy I consider providing an update taking one for the team.

Sometimes I’ll just check the @muddy review of the club and make my decision there. Muddy’s reviews make you feel like you’re actually at the club going through the experience. They really paint a picture and let you know quickly if it’s a club you’d go to. Thought I might visit Australia, but after reading several clubs weak/odd lap dance policies, he saved me thousands on the flight from Dallas!

I like to get the pricing lay of the land. If it fits my spending model, then it's a go. It's alos good toknow how they handle VIP/extras. The quality of the ladies is sooo subjective.
