They never tell you what you need to know.

Employees come and go, strippers come and go, PLs come and go and porn stars certainly come and go (in more ways than one).

I was curious about porn stars I admired from the past, I looked up where some of them are today and almost all have vanished into thin air. Social media accounts deleted. OnlyFans pages deleted, no current photos on the internet even as “civilians.” Sometimes you find a week or dormant Instagram and Twitter account. Several of these women are in their early 30s, I would think they would still have some shelf life left if they wanted it.

I always wonder what happened to them? Did they meet a wealthy person to take care of them? Did they settle down and want a normal life, contracts dried up and now they have a normal job, or something worse such aa addiction, debt, etc.

Some of these women had cult followings in the hundreds of thousands so (I would think) there should be some sort of income stream there, but maybe a handful of stalkers is too much to take, or maybe a solid income stream really isn’t that feasible.

Probably a tough life, here today gone tomorrow, happens to a lot in any entertainment industry, from musician, actor, athlete. They all can’t have LeBron James, Tom Cruise and Coldplay longevity. It’s not any different for porn stars.

Let's just think about the reach that the average kid has now on the Internet. Would you want your kids seeing you get cracked open? Or giving the worst line readings ever well putting your tool into a variety of women who may or may not actually be hot? The internet never forgets so it's going to be out there anyway, but why make it easier to find and link up to who you are after the industry is done with you.

Carmella Bing was one of my favorite all time pornstars. I don't think I would ever get tired of banging prime Carmella Bing. But damn did she let her self go in the fridge.

Wallanon makes a legitimate argument, but I’m sure many of them did not want to be done with the industry even though the industry was done with them.

As for Muddys comment, even though certain stars are “way past their prime” I’d think there would still be interest in them from many fans even as they age.

Som pornstars have had long careers. Julia Ann, Lisa Ann, Tiffany Mynx. They might still be going, they probably started in the early 90's I saw Sara Jay at strip club in MA a couple years back, I mean that's a solid 20 year career, at least.

It seems like many leave and then come back. Especially now, with eternal internet history in your pocket, you can verify someone's video history in real time. I've heard of many porn stars who went into teaching or real estate and had to leave when their porn history was outed. Others, like Victoria Rae Black and Peta Jensen have successfully disappeared after leaving the industry. Fewer, like Jenna Jameson remained famous and public with a successful retirement. The saddest non-death would be Jennifer Lee, who was accidentally discovered by a European documentary crew making a feature on people living underneath Las Vegas in the massive subterranean storm drains. She seemed to have been srive there for having become too well known as an adult film star (she was breath-taking in her prime).

I looked that up, jesus. Never heard of her but living in the sewers under Vegas? Just going full teenage mutant ninja turtles, that's a rough one.

I find porn to be boring. It's the same old thing. They all go through the same routine. The only thing that helps me is to seeking pretty girls that I have never seen before. "Variety is the spice of life".

Sasha Grey has a fairly large following on Twitch.

There's a former porn start who lives near us; still friends with her on FB, but she seems to be doing well now after a long string of misadventures with drugs and abusive boyfriends and a husband.

Feels like a lot of the ones with large followings made an OF and could survive off doing the bare minimum there since they already had so many fans/subs/monthly income

Sadly a lot of former porn stars are dead.

The existence of a sex tape used to end careers -- now they launch them. Paris Hilton and all of the Kardashian kids owe their fame and fortune to them. Sasha Grey and Traci Lords are among the very few who have had any success in "legitimate" films and TV. Mia Khalifa seems to be making her own path in public life after porn.

Some have gone behind the camera as producers and adult content creators. Danni Ashe (one of the first to successfully monetize internet porn) later became a ski instructor. Linda Lovelace wrote a memoir and became a born again Christian.
