Hey TJ Mongers: Is the TJ Donkey show a myth? Or was it a real thing? Not something I’d ever be interested in seeing, but forever I’ve heard that of there were Donkey shows in TJ back in the ‘70’s, but no one seems to knows anyone to have actually seen it (or willing to admit to seeing it), so I’m thinking it may be a myth or urban legend perpetuated by gringos. Mythbusters should look into this.

Ed Calderon, a former Mexican cop who now is a U.S. security expert told a very credible sounding story about going to a donkey show in Tijuana. I think in the 90s I heard him tell the story on the Adam Carolla podcast.

In my 11 years of going to tijuana, I’ve never seen one. Nor have I tried to find one.

I promise, they are most certainly not a myth. But the true donkey shows (the kind I believe you're referring to) have been gone since the early 2000s. They were never that prevalent, but they were definitely around. However, whatever Deja Vu is advertising, it's not the real thing.

A fav of mine (many years ago) went to TJ, got in a cab, and asked to go to a donkey show. The driver refused to take her to one. He said, if a woman went to a donkey show, she'd be in the donkey show, voluntarily or otherwise.
Maybe the trick is, you have to look for a zebra show. People don't realize the effort that goes into the painted stripes of TJ donkeys who cosplay as zebras. They want a little respect.
Maybe rickthedonkey will join TUSCL, and tell us where and when we can see him getting it on with damn dirty ape females.
They existed, but not anymore for regular walk ups sure of that. 70s and 80s a lot went on. Yes, heard about 90s, but then really define what you mean by a donkey show! That’s a big range…
No farm animals involved but does anyone remember the "banana show" /change show in Okinawa, Japan?
I remember going to a private sex show between 2 girls that was held on a receiver site for Fuchu Air Station in Japan. They got a guy on stage and would strip as far as he would. I think it is a myth. I was there is 1961 and no one tried to offer us one.
I do know that in Acapulco in the 70's a live sex show was available in one of the 3 bordellos in the hills. I forgot which one but I was there, having a drink with one of the girls outside on the patio when 3 taxi's pulled up and 6 couples got out. My girl told me they were there for a pre arranged sex show and that one of the waiters was the male participant.
