Kurt Vonnegut grew up here in my hometown of Indianapolis and went to the same high school as my mother, though a few years earlier than her. One of his novels, Breakfast of Champions, is set here. He wrote one of the best antiwar novels, Slaughterhouse Five.
@docsavage oh yeah, I read several Vonnegut novels in the 80s after initially reading Slaughterhouse Five. Good stuff.
There are a small number of places where many of his stories have been set.
🔺 "like society of kindness, good people, joy & goodwill, deeds, random acts of kindness. People helping others, giving/showing contribution, good spirit & representation support can be very helpful & keeps healthy thoughts in our minds, it will influence others for increased goodness with heart" "Show you care, recognize & with enthusiasm"
Finally got to see the Vonnegut Memorial Library back in August. Pretty cool place. Really wish there were more Kilgore Trout novels than the one by Phillip Jose Farmer. Heard that Vonnegut didn't really like it, so that's probably why there weren't any more.
