HK on Saturday

Jacks4thson
Will be in San Diego from Saturday thru Friday but without a lot of time to spend in TJ. Was thinking of going to HK Saturday afternoon then returning to SD in the evening. Also may have the chance to visit HK during the day Monday/Tuesday.
Given that Friday and Saturday nights are busy in HK, what is Saturday afternoon like? I have to think it is still worth the time to experience it.

last commentthere's no really bad time to visit Hong Kong bar. even the late mornings and the afternoons are decent whereas Friday and Saturday nights is more crowded.
.
I suggest getting a VIP card at Hong Kong if you're going to visit more than a few times in a 3-month period. hotel discounts, food discounts, free drinks and even a big discount on a 5 minute lap dance.
.
depending on the exchange rates. you might do better on some things by paying with pesos but if you don't they do take dollars willingly...

I think Saturday afternoon or evening is a great time to visit HK, probably my favorite time to visit. In my experience, as the evening approaches more and more chicas will start showing up for the night shift and there will be a very high chica-to-monger ratio that will go down as the evening progresses and more sausage shows up from SoCal.
.
Keep in mind, chicas have to work 9 hour shifts instead of 8 on Saturday (and I think Friday too?) So there are a lot that get there early to mid-afternoon!

Re: Pesos/Dollars, the HK exchange rate last I was there was 18:1, so maybe a few pesos less than what you might get at an exchange shop in San Ysdrio. BUT, you'd be tipping in pesos, so you'd likely be handing out a lot of $20 Peso bills, which are slightly more expensive than a dollar, so honestly, I think any money you'd save by using pesos would be wash after all the single tips you might throw out.

US dollars are the better deal for tipping as long as the exchange rate is below 20 peso for a US dollar.
