last commentHave you not read reviews and narrowed it down? Tampa is one of the top 3 reviewed locations on this site.
If you haven't made all your tee times yet, 60 miles north of Tampa is world woods. Pine Barrens is my second favorite course in the state and is a must play. Rolling Oaks is also top 10 and another must play. Neither course looks like it is in Florida and neither course looks remotely like the other, despite intertwining.
For once, I agree with Skibum, kind of. The two courses in Brooksville, FL that he recommends are excellent. However, they are no longer called Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks. The entire golf complex was recently purchased and renovated by Cabot Citrus Farms and the courses have been renamed as Karoo and Roost. The other courses in this part of Florida that are especially noteworthy are Bella Colina, near Lake Apopka and the courses at Streamsong. All are pricey.
As to strip clubs, read the reviews. I personally like Scarlett's at Ybor City.
re: the Clubs - I'd recommend Calloway golf clubs. Not that I give a shit one way or the other, but a childhood friend of mine likes them. And speaking of clubs, it just so happens the 5 Tampa-area Sam's Club locations carry Callaway clubs. Even better IMHO, Costco Club also carries Calloway, and there are 10 locations in greater Tampa. I'd recommend Citrus Park, as I understand it's typically less busy than others.
After hitting the links, how 'bout a cold brewsky at any of Tampa's finer bar and restaurant clubs? There's the Tampa Club, with some of the best panoramic views in town. And speaking of views, the University Club of Tampa is not to be missed. You'll impress your golf buddies, for sure. Looking for something waterside? Check out Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club. And if you haven't already OD'd on golf for the day, consider sinking your putt at Silverado Golf & Country Club or Heritage Isles Golf & Country Club.
Finally, if you're really into clubs, how about owning your own? The Silverthorn Country Club just North of Tampa in Springhill FL, is offering a 16,000sqft clubhouse with a full-service restaurant (liquor license included in the sale), banquet halls, and a spacious event venue. At a cool $1.6M, seems like a steal to me.
That's about it for the club scene... Well, maybe except for strip clubs. I never go, so wouldn't know. I understand however, that if you RTFF on Tuscl.net, you'll be an expert in no time. Give it a try! ;)
Thanks for The tips . My buddy is taking care of the tee times. Scarlett’s looks like a good choice
Paulie Walnuts still play at Pine Barrens? I’m gonna stay away
