Interesting comment about Vivide taking over the O's location. They may be looking because the adjacent property to them has sold and likely to be developed. Plus there's a ton of other renovation going on all around that area, which I'm sure puts their location in the crosshairs of developers and city officials alike.
Okay so how does this work. I'm new to this strip club political game.
The strip club owners have the deed to their property. Are you saying the city can FORCE Vivide to shut down because someone else (at a later date mind you) wants to build an apartment complex?
I just don't understand why Vivide would have to move. I guess that's why they want to buy The O Atlanta. Legally wouldn't the city have BUY the property from the owner with consent from the owner.
In my (limited) experience, if you go to Vivide on a Saturday, you have to get there way before most of the dancers to get a parking spot that isn't in that currently vacant lot. I don't know if they have any off-site parking used by the valet.
Thanks ilbbaicnl. I'm starting to see the implications here. Friday and Saturday have packed parking.
You could get away with parking in a few other areas. The building to the right of Vivide is practically empty at night.
The owners should probably either implement 2 new rules:
Encourage carpooling. It's up to them to create incentives.
Buy some of the vacant lot land. Or perhaps give free entry if you can prove you used Uber or any taxi services.
There are also a few locations for parking if you're okay with parking your car in one location. making the 10 minute walk, then going back to your car. I know it's technically illegal, but as long you come back within 2 hours you will be fine.

last commentWhat exactly is being developed close to Vivide. It seems far out enough that a strip club in that location shouldn't be a problem.

That may be up in the air but the lot is not going to stay vacant much longer.
