Increased competition is typically a good thing.
Given that there are a lot more patrons than dancers in RI and MA clubs recently, I hope they find additional dancers instead of mostly stealing from existing clubs.

I hope they have high standards when hiring dancers. There definitely is a shortage of strip clubs that are 7 & up type places. I see too many dancers who are the female version of me ... and that's not good.
I also hope this place is at least as good as Boardroom. Both in overall quality and pricing. It's a lot closer to where I live, so I'd make the trip more often. I get the vibe it's going to be expensive, though.

The article states that all parking onsite is valet-only. That's not good. It will discourage potential customers, especially when nearby clubs don't have valet-only parking.
I understand that valet-only parking is used to prevent customers from gathering in the parking lot and creating noise or worse, such as fights. And the club can use it as a money grab.

I don't know why they even proposed having valet-only parking, and I can't see that being implemented during the day (maybe at night). The place is located in a low-crime town and surrounded by other low-crime towns. There's very little riff-raff around, so I doubt they'll be any real issues. If they do have mandatory valet, it will be for money-grab reasons.

Unless the town imposed it on them. If you look at the facebook for the new club in NH, the town pulled all sorts of crap with parking lot zoning to delay the opening of the club.

The club will suck for many reasons, starting with the fact it is in Massachusetts. Add in that it is in a very white, white-collar town and you got it, the populace hates it with passion. Town only fought them for 16 years. Imagine the number of drunk driving arrests. In Mendon and the surrounding towns, the cops have little to do. The Boardroom it will not be. Brockton is a hard, scrabble, blue-collar town with a huge drug problem. Mendon is the type of town that feels neighboring Hopedale was too low class to permit entry into their school district. The last club in the area disappeared 30+ years ago. As for me I don't valet my car, so I will have no information on the club.
