I've been using Cialis for years. Let me amend that; I used Cialis for years until the generic, tadalafil, became available. I first got samples of Viagra from my doctor. It worked fine but it only lasted about 4 hours. Cialis/tadalafil lasts me at least 48 hours which is great if you're single. I can see that a married guy who is cheating might want Viagra so that his wife doesn't become suspicious when she touches him a day after taking Cialis/tadalafil and he gets an instant woody. My advice is to ask your doctor for samples first. Try them out, maybe cut a pill in half and see if that does the job to determine what dosage is appropriate for you. When you are ready for a prescription get a free very large discount from Good Rx and give that information to your pharmacy.

One more piece of advice about Cialis/tadalafil; the prescription will say to take it daily but the reality is that I don't think that is necessary (except for corporate profits). When I first started taking Cialis they said take as needed and that is what I do. As long as I take it 30-45 minutes ahead of time it works perfectly.

A low dose of Viagra (20, 40) does the job, more than that makes me lightheaded and gives me a headache. Not sure about the others.

is there anything available in a walgreens that works just a little and doesn't require a prescription?

Do you find Cialis/tadalafil works as well as Viagra for the hour or two you're in a club? That's when I want the effect, and don't care much about being "ready" for whenever (no wife, girlfriend, or fuckbuddy to be ready for). I have the impression Cialis/tadalafil is great for longer term readiness, but doesn't deliver as much wood as Viagra in the shorter term.

Since Pfizer's patent protection finally ran out, the price of all ED products has dropped to pennies. I prefer sildenafil(Viagra) but try em all. They're cheap.

Hey Rod8432. I think that your impression about readiness vs effectiveness is wrong, they both get me plenty hard and it happens fast with both. I remember the first time I tried ED meds, my friend gave me one of his Viagra pills and I went to the Playhouse Lounge where I had been many times. Shortly after sitting down one of the girls approached me an put her hand on my leg...instant woodie! After that I went to my doc who gave me samples of Viagra. There were 2 things I didn't like about it-first, you're supposed to take it on an empty stomach which was a problem because I usually went out right after dinner. Then there is the 4 hour effectiveness window. One evening when I was planning on going out and had already taken the Viagra I had to cancel. That was a wasted pill and the Viagra was very expensive then. Then I got samples of Cialis which made me just as hard and if I wanted to go out on consecutive nights there was no need to take another pill. When I started buying Cialis at Costco it was $130 for 30 5mg pills so I didn't want to be wasting them. Now the generics are available and much cheaper. My most recent script for 30 5 mg pill of tadalafil was $11 using the discount from GoodRX at my local pharmacy. (Use GoodRX for any script you have, no insurance required, no charge to use GoodRX. Use the website, enter the info and it will tell you the cost at pharmacies in your area. The prices can vary by 100% or more so do your homework.)

The daily Cialis is a lower dose than the "weekender" version. Small daily doses were found to help some of those with BPH. It helps me a little, but not as well as Saw Palmetto.

^Georg lol. Saw palmetto literally castrates man. Its called a 5 alpha reductase inhibitor. It’s basically a natural finasteride. If you actually have a microdong, the saw palmetto is definitely something that contributes. It worsens not just dong size but also function. Its one of the worst things a guy can take for anything. It’s basically chemical castration!

@GMD, saw palmetto is confirmed negative for everyone, it doesnt really matter who. Just like poison will be bad for everyone, even though it may not be equally toxic to everyone.

A quick google of saw palmetto side effects… will pull up numerous effects.
