Investigators say the two people wearing ski masks and gloves got into the gentlemen's club through the ceiling and crawled to the business' safes.

According to police, the suspects appear to have used power tools to cut into the safes. They were able to get away after around 2 hours in the building with around $250.000 in cash without triggering any alarms.

Officials say the suspects appeared to have moved the business' ATMs to face the floor but did not damage or break into them.

The investigation into the theft is ongoing.

If you have any information about the burglary, call the Atlanta Police Department.

That’s a lot of cash. Surprised that any club would have that much on hand.

I was living in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. Since I lived north of I-12, I did not feel the need to evacuate. One of my neighbors was a regional manager for McDonald's and also road it out. He asked me to help him out and ride with him to check out some of his stores, he wanted someone to watch his back. We got to one store and found that it had been broken into, but they were long gone by the time we got there. They had used a cutting torch to open of the store safe. This steel was easily three inches thick, with three 2-inch diameter steel bars for the locking mechanism. They would have had to drag in a very, large, heavy pair of tanks and cutting equipment, and judging by the amount slag everywhere, they were not very proficient. It would been a lot of hard work for them. Even worse for them, that store management had done what they were supposed to do and taken all of the deposits to the bank before evacuating. Their reward for all of that effort? Less than $1,000 from the tills and petty cash. I wonder how many days revenue was in this $250K that was stolen from Onyx?

Sounds like an inside job. Did they conveniently forget to set the alarms? No alarms triggered while in the business for two hours. 250 k left overnight. Atms moved but no damage at all?

Either that or its movie type style thieves that hit the jackpot and two guys just got a huge payday seemingly with no trace?

I doubt that much cash was actually in the club, more likely exaggerated for insurance purposes.

Well, aren't you a cynic? I can see the thieves sitting there with an $125K loot saying, "$250,000?! Let's call the police and report those guys for insurance fraud!"

When I left Treasures the other day, a manager was counting a wad of $100 bills at the front desk. I had the thought that someone could running off the street and grab that. Then I realized the manager looked like a linebacker.
