NYC SC Scene (specifically Sapphire's locations)
I'm considering a trip to New York City soon and, while it's generally not known as a place for good strip clubs, a few recent reviews of Sapphire 39 in particular have raised some interest.Sapphire 39 only has 10 reviews on tuscl as of this writing, but it looks like it just opened in 2019 and with the pandemic eating up over a year in NYC (where lockdown rules were strict and expansive) I guess that low number is understandable.
For those familiar with the NYC scene and with the Sapphire clubs there in particular, I'm wondering if the place is worth checking out? The few reviews it has here seem to indicate it's actually a pretty decent spot for good-contact, grinding lap dances on the floor for $20?
I was a big fan of Sapphire's in Las Vegas before they upped their LD prices on the floor to $40-$50 each after the pandemic.
For reference, it seems like one of the complaints about this place is it only has one-way contact. I'm fine with that as long as there's grinding and it's not an air dance. I'm not looking for extras/VIP either. I'm mainly just looking for a place that has the vibe of pre-pandemic Mons Venus Tampa/Sapphire Vegas style dances like they were before the pandemic doubled/tripled the LD prices at these places.
The Sapphire 39 reviews are encouraging because it seems like there's dances happening all over the place on the floor, but I did visit Sapphire 60 (the other Sapphire location in NYC) in 2018 or so and I recall it was disappointing with many hot 8+ dancers only doing mostly air dances. Is Sapphire 39 truly different? Also, interestingly, reviews seem to indicate that laps are $40 each at S60, but only $20 each at S39. I find this odd, but I guess it could be true. Flashdancers and Rick's don't seem to be worth it.
Would appreciate any intel from NY-area hobbyists or those who travel to NYC and are familiar with the Sapphire clubs, especially 39.

These days, I keep my expectations for SCs in check. Anything close to a pre-pandemic Mons Venus-style dance will do just fine and it does sound like Sapphire 39 may provide that based on reviews and your feedback. I do wonder why it seems to be more contact than Sapphire 60 though, since I found S60 to be really ho-hum with tame (i.e. mostly air) dances.
I guess it could be that S39 is trying to build itself up to S60's reputation.
Now to try and find a hotel that isn't $200 a night after tax in Midtown. That's probably not happening.
End of the day though I mean I just love club hopping where I don’t have to drive. Just walk club to club, drink all you want, meet al kinds of crazy people it kind of turns into an adventure and that sort of makes it good time either way.
