My fav remarked recently that, at a typical strip club, the manager mostly delegates managing the dancers to the house mom. Including hiring and firing. (She was kvetching about the lack of any house mom where she dances.) I'd never heard this before, is it common knowledge? As one would expect, I only have heard bits of second hand accounts of what goes on in the dressing room.

Before you say it, I can't ask on stripperweb, I was kicked off.

House Moms are not that common in California/Los Angeles. This is especially true with AB5 requiring all dancers to be employees - though not all clubs have complied with AB5 yet.

I suppose it just depends on the club. Abbey was the primary house mom at Follies. She is now the primary at Vivide but there are 2 others that back her up. They do hire and fire and collect the dancer house fees, etc.
