Houston furniture store owner bets nearly $3.5 million on Super Bowl
The Super Bowl is always a massive day for gamblers with all sorts of massive bets.
One Houston furniture store owner is letting a lot of money roll on the game.
Jim McIngvale, also known as Mattress Mack, bet $3.46 million on the Buccaneers +3.5 against the Chiefs in Super Bowl 55. If the Buccaneers win, he’s giving people who spent at least $3,000 on a mattress their money back.
McIngvale once bet almost $13 million on the Astros to win the World Series in 2019. They lost in seven games that year to the Nationals.

That's hard to fathom but then I wouldn't put $13 down on that game
McIngvale is legendary in the Houston area. His store is Huge. He made himself famous by doing the commercials himself :
It’s gotta be some sort of a publicity stunt, that’s a true sucker bet.
