Mexican President taking over global populist leadership?

Mexican President Lopez Obrador has oddly enough had a close relationship with President Trump. He's also questioned parts of the Covid narrative.

Now he is one the world leaders speaking out against the global corporate assault on free speech.

With Trump at least somewhat stepping away from fighting the New World Order, could he become the leader of the populist movement worldwide?
