The incident adds to an emerging pattern of violence since the establishment reopened a month ago, Akron police said. Aside from the weekend shooting, a man has been stabbed in the neck, a woman reported her possessions stolen from a car and another woman was beaten in the face, allegedly by a bouncer.
Police said a disturbance outside Jones Ohio Gentleman’s Club led to the latest shooting, which happened in or near the parking lot of the bar and strip club. Two people, a 24-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, were struck. Each was treated for nonlife-threatening wounds at Summa Akron City Hospital.
Police said they had no suspects or leads. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in a row of Brittain Road businesses just south of Tallmadge Avenue
Akron Police Lt. Michael Miller said a 19-year-old man was arrested after crossing a police tape line while trying to retrieve his car. The young man was taken to the Summit County Jail after refusing to stay away from the crime scene. He was charged with misconduct at an emergency and obstructing official business.
Formerly Georgie’s Club, the bar reopened with a new name about a month ago. Since then, police have been called to the location four times and at least one neighbor has complained of routine violence and shootings.
A phone number provided by police and listed on the bar’s website went to a voicemail that has not been set up.
On Oct. 11, police investigated another report of gunfire. At the bar, they found a man in the bathroom with a stab wound to the neck. He survived but, like other patrons present that evening, gave no description of the attacker or who fired 20 9mm rounds in the parking lot, where fresh shell casings were found.
The next night, police investigated a theft in the parking involving a broken car window.
On Oct. 23, an East Akron woman called police out to her home after leaving the private club. She said she was standing outside the bar when a security guard told her to leave. When she went inside to put down her drink, she told police it spilled on the bouncer, who repeatedly punched her in the face.
Police documents a bruised and bloody left eye, which Miller said is "consistent with being punched." The security guard is listed on the incident but no one has been charged.
Anyone with information on the Sunday incident is encouraged to call the Akron Police Department Detective Bureau at 330-375-2490 or 330-375-2Tip, or the Summit County Crime Stoppers at 330-434-COPS.

This place is directly across from jen's which has always been a dive frequented by drug dealers and gangsters but at one time, *several years ago*, had a few really hot dancers. Not any more.
