HoneyTraps and More in the Age of Technology

I don’t mean for this to become political but this is prompted by one of @mark94’s comments in another thread:
“The Hunter video is just the tip of the iceberg. They claim to have millions of pictures and videos of other politicians and business leaders from across the globe. This is a massive, decades long blackmail operation by China.”
I’m no politician but I was in Belgrade Yugoslavia when tensions were high (before NATO attacked) and the Serbs were (understandably so IMO) running HoneyTraps on diplomats and others. They had the rooms in the hotel I was staying at wired for video and sound. Serbian women are hot, hot, hot and they caught a number of people in compromising positions. I wasn’t a target I’m sure but I was aware of what was going on and wasn’t comfortable with the situation (and if I’m going to become a porn star I’d like to get paid for it, lol).
Lately I’ve been trying to follow the world via YouTube and what I’ve found is honestly a bit shocking. With today’s technology any guy with a dollar can surreptitiously film in hi-definition and post shit on the internet. I’ve seen videos of places that I’ve partied but at least initially most of the shots were in public spaces so there isn’t really an expectation of privacy. Then I discovered surreptitious videos from inside of clubs and even videos taken of girls back in hotel rooms.
Many years ago I knew a dancer who was photographed in the nude on stage but the guy used a large 35mm camera and told her he was taking pictures for the club when she complained. She was understandably upset but at least she knew about it.
There is no putting the technological genie back in the bottle. So whether you’re running for public office or sneaking around on your spouse or just an innocent guy who doesn’t want his future life possibly destroyed for licking some strippers tit in a moment of weakness (lol) are you at all worried about being caught for the world to see whether targeted or just coincidentally?

I remember getting one of those scam emails about being filmed doing a Tubin and asking for bitcoin ransom. I just thought, knock yourself out.
I lost track of her but had one of those "whatever happened to" moments recently. I saw that she is now married, has children, and is a practicing MD.
Her videos are still searchable but luckily they are just attached to her screen name and not her real name. Makes you wonder what's under the white coat of some hot female doctors.
