Muslim countries still hold slaves and progressives sure love them muslims.
Dominating the Presidency, and stacking the Courts. That's what the 3/5 extra votes for slave owners gave them. And then they also used the financial proceeds of their slave empire to buy influence.
And the Right is still using other things like this today.

So what? People/societies don't always live up to their ideals. Societies and people evolve. It's childish to expect consistency in humans. MLK said that the civil rights movement would succeed because the goal of America is freedom. Goals are important. Yes we've experienced a huge setback the past 3 years, but let's work to rebuild. On toward that goal of freedom!
