A 25-year-old man was shot in the neck early Sunday morning outside of the Hush Gentleman’s Club, 1027 E. Waterloo Road in Akron.
The man was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
Witnesses told police the victim got into an argument with another man inside the club shortly after midnight and both were escorted out of the building. The victim assaulted the other man who went to his car, grabbed a handgun and fired a shot, striking the victim in his neck, police said.
Police charged Rocco M. Toro, 33, of Massillon at the scene with felonious assault and having a firearm in a liquor establishment. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.

Stand your ground.

I agree with the stand your ground concept but going to his car, grabbing a gun and then shooting the guy won't wash unless the guy that was shot persisted and pursued the shooter to the car. Anyway, I'm not sure but I don't believe stand your ground legislation has passed yet in the state of Ohio.

Yeah.....this isn't a stand your ground situation if you had time to go to your car....you could have just driven away.
