PHOENIX, AZ (3TV/CBS5) -- A party bus driver who takes customers around town to local strip clubs was arrested after police say she pointed a gun at a customer and fired the gun into the air.
On Dec. 14, the bus driver, 33-year-old Jennifer Trotter of Mesa, was dropping a group of people off at Blue Moon Gentleman's Club in Phoenix. The group reportedly asked for a special "2-for-1" cover charge. But the club refused to let them in at that price.
Police say that Trotter, the driver, only gets paid based on how many people actually pay cover charges at the clubs. So when the group refused to pay the cover and walked out, Trotter "became upset," according to the police report.
Police say she "went to her party bus and retrieved a pistol. She pointed the pistol in the chest of a customer and told them to pay the cover. They refused and the bouncer intervened by pulling his own weapon and pointed it at the defendant, telling her to lower weapon."
According to the police report, Trotter then "backed up from the customers and fired a shot from her handgun straight up in the air."
Police say Trotter told the bouncer she wouldn't put her weapon down, but that she would put it in her holster.
Trotter then drove off in her bus.
The victims left shortly after, reportedly telling the Blue Moon staff they wanted to “get out of there.”
Workers at the Blue Moon called police. "They knew the driver's name and where she was headed," stated the police report.
Trotter was later arrested in Tempe at the Elite Cabaret Gentlemen’s Club where she parks her bus.
Trotter faces one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm within city limits.
