Saw documentary of girl who literally sat down and shut up after her boy friend

Dad, but nothing surprises me anymore. I'm sure the young lady has very poor self esteem and only finds value in the love of her sick boyfriend

@ steel dog yeah probably but why is that Some thing to make In fun of? The fact that a girl has low self esteem isn't something to make in fun of, cuz thats just way too sad. It is sad more than anything

Not making fun. It is sad and the young lady is in a bad place. It just isn't surprising to me. I travel a lot and see such behavior regularly. It saddens and angers me. I believe the breakdown of the family, the infatuation with faux celebrities, the early loss of childhood and other things are hurting our youth in many ways and this is just one example.

@DC hmm ya .but like Steel dog said....I think that things are put into a different perspective when u consider that this bf is prob the only source of joy for the girl given her low self esteem and depression , as a result of growing up in an environment filled with domestic and mental abuse , in addition to feeling a lack of hope due to a grim future ahead ..

Like she prob takes it from the dude bc he gives her, in some wicked way, what her lack of self esteem cannot..

I see her behaviors as perhaps a result of illness rather than lack of empathy?
