WEST PEORIA — An ex-girlfriend and two other women attacked a strip-club deejay, punching him 16 times, according to a police report.

The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office was called just before 10 p.m. Oct. 6 to Pulse Gentleman’s Club, 3601 W. Farmington Road, West Peoria. A 23-year-old club deejay said that his ex-girlfriend, who dances at another area strip parlor, had been “stalking” him lately and showed up at Pulse that evening, the report stated.

In the club’s parking lot, the deejay asked the ex-girlfriend to leave, the report stated. After she cursed at him, she and two female companions attacked the deejay, slugging him 16 times, he told police. He said he did not retaliate.

A video of the incident shows the three women approaching the deejay before a “struggle” ensues, police said. However, poor lighting on the video prohibited police from discerning any punching.

Amid the melee, the owner of the club came out and vowed to call police, according to the report. At that, the three women fled the scene.

A deputy documented the deejay’s injuries, including a cut near his lip, abrasion to his throat and dried blood in his nose. Police issued an alert to seek the ex-girlfriend for questioning.

I closed fist punched one of my sisters once as a teenager, but other than that no.

I might have started defending myself against those three after the first 5 or 6 punches, though. Not sure I would have taken 16 before striking back.

His injuries seemed minor. I just can't take seriously most unarmed attacks that girls do. Some girls are trained fighters that know how to hit effectively, but the majority just catty and flailing around.

I have, of course, been to Pulse in Peoria, though I was safely gone by 7:30 or so. Actually it's not in such a bad neighborhood. The big surprise in Peoria is the *very* extras-friendly Elliott's, located in a very safe, prosperous area in the northern part of the city.
