JACKSLASH: 10 Questions Resurrected

shailynn
They never tell you what you need to know.
1. How many strippers have you had to your house?

2. Living in the metro Detroit area (and yes I know people say "I don't live in Detroit!"), how do you refrain from going to strip clubs every single day?

3. Who is your favorite artist?

4. If you had a CD stuck in your BMW and had to listen to that CD everyday, what band/artist/group would be on it?

5. Would you share your lasagna recipe? Post it here!

6. If you could only go to one strip club the rest of your life in Detroit, which one would you choose?

7. How many kids do you have?

8. You're going to the club in the fall, normal weather. Do you wear sneakers, loafers or boots?

9. What is your favorite Detroit sports team?

10. How many times a month do you pick up a Hot N Ready on your way home? (Detroit people know what I'm talking about).

    1. I would guess I have had about 30 strippers to my house. I've lost track. My ATF and some CF's have been to my house dozens of times.

    2. I refrain from going to Detroit strip clubs every day by having the strippers come to me.

    3. My favorite artist? Houdini is my favorite escape artist.

    4. If I had to listen to one musical artist, I would choose Bob Dylan. I'm too embarrassed to say how many Dylan songs I've purchased on iTunes.

    5. I will share my lasagna recipe. It's long and so I'll add it to the end of this post.

    6. One Detroit strip club for the rest of my life? I will say the Flight Club. I feel at home there, and I have a lot of good memories. The Flight Club is making a come back from the slump it had been in.

    7. I have 2 children (that I know of).

    8. I wear sneakers (Nike AirMax)

    9. Detroit Pistons

    10. No Hot N Ready. I don't eat pizza.

This is my lasagna recipe. Treat it with respect.

    Jack's Famous Lasagna
    PL tested, stripper approved

    About 3 hours to make

    Ingredients
    Sauce:
1 to 1.5 pound (16 to 24 oz) ground beef (browned and drained)
1 to 1.5 pound (16 to 24 oz) ground pork (browned and drained)
1 pound (16 oz) Italian sausage (already cooked) or andouille sausage
(You can cook uncooked sausage, but this is more work)
    1 medium yellow onion, chopped
2 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
    15 ounces tomato paste
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1.5 tbsp salt
    2 bay leaves
    1 cup red wine
    1 24 oz can Hunt's Pasta Sauce
    32 ounces ricotta cheese
1/2 cup (4 oz) Parmesan cheese, grated; plus another 1/4 cup (2 oz)
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded / grated

2 boxes of Oven-Ready Lasagna pasta sheets
( Barilla Oven-Ready Lasagna is good)

    Directions

    Make the sauce
1 Brown ground beef in skillet, drain grease, and put in a bowl
2 Brown ground pork in skillet, drain grease, and put in a bowl
3 Slice already cooked Italian sausage (or andouille sausage) into small rounds
4 Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in large (6 qt or more) sauce pan over medium-high heat
5 Mix the 3 meats in the large sauce pan
6 Chop onion, add to saucepan and cook for 5 minutes
7 Add 1 cup red wine and cook for 7 minutes
    8 Reduce heat to medium
9 Add 15 oz tomato paste
    10 Add 2 bay leaves
11 Add 2 cloves of garlic, minced
    12 Add 1.5 tablespoons salt
13 Add 1 teaspoon ground pepper
    14 Add 1 teaspoon sugar
15 Cook until boiling and then reduce heat to low
16 Simmer uncovered for 1 hour, which will reduce the liquid

    Make lasagna noodles
1 Make lasagna noodles per directions on box
(Better: Just use Oven-Ready Lasagna noodles)

    Make the cheese filling
    1 Mix together in bowl:
    32 ounces ricotta cheese
1/2 cup (4 oz) Parmesan cheese, grated
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded / grated

    Layer and Bake
    1 Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

2 Reserve 1 cup (8 oz) of the liquid sauce for the end
(or use the Hunt's Pasta Sauce)

    3 Spray 9" X 13" baking dish with non-stick spray
4 Spoon about 6 to 8 oz of the Hunt's Pasta Sauce on bottom of baking dish
5 Spread about 1/4 of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9" X 13" baking dish

    Layer 1
6 Top with 1/3 of the lasagna noodles--cover whole pan with a layer of noodles
7 Top with 1/3 or remaining meat sauce, followed by 1/3 of remaining cheese filling
8 Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top

    Layer 2
9 Top with 1/3 of the lasagna noodles
10 Top with 1/3 or remaining meat sauce, followed by 1/3 of remaining cheese filling
11 Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top

    Layer 3
12 Top with 1/3 of the lasagna noodles
13 Top with all remaining meat sauce, followed by all of remaining cheese filling
14 Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top

15 Spoon reserved sauce mixture onto top (or spoon Hunt's Pasta Sauce on top),
covering lasagna noodles completely--use a lot of pasta sauce on top to keep noodles soft
16 Sprinkle top with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

    17 Bake , uncovered, in a preheated 350°F oven 45 to 50 minutes
18 Bake until bubbly and browned on top

Remove from oven and allow to cool on wire rack or a folded towel
Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.

Is that 15 oz of 'paste' or sauce? I didn't see it in the ingredients. I might make this. I love lasagna.

That is paste. It is in addition to the pasta sauce.

Okay, everyone says Scat is the Godfather of TUSCL. Jackslash has to be at least the "capo bastone" (underboss).

With the most sincerity, thank you for taking the time to post your recipe. It's funny my wife's recipe doesn't differ much from yours, she just uses ground beef, I'll have to tell her I found this recipe on Pinterest and she should try it! lol!!!!

Following that lasagna recipe would be like trying to read a SJG post. Ain't nobody got time for that. Jack can you bring some to the next Detroit meetup?
