Now why didn't I think of that?

Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson has filed a consumer complaint against a man who allegedly carried out a scheme in which he posed as a woman and claimed to run a Seattle talent agency that could connect women to high-paying jobs in the adult entertainment industry.

In fact, says Ferguson, Michael-Jon Matthew “Matt” Hickey, did little more than deceive his victims into posing for nude photos and having sex with him.

“This is one of the most egregious scams I’ve seen as Attorney General,” Ferguson said. “Beyond the monetary damage his victims suffered pursuing the defendant’s fictional job opportunities, they endured emotional trauma and unconscionable loss of privacy through his deception.”

Hickey posed as a woman named Deja Stwalley, contacting women via social media sites and claiming to run a “woman-owned” talent recruiting company called New Seattle Talent. Instead, Hickey allegedly convinced his victims to pose for nude photos and have sex with him as part of a phony “audition” process.

Facebook profile
Beyond the Stwalley profile, which was deliberately cultivated with more than 1,000 friends, Hickey further created a veil of legitimacy with fake business websites, email addresses, and a Google Voice number with a Las Vegas area code.

Hickey identified young women between the ages of 17 and 25 on Facebook, contacting them through Stwalley’s profile and presenting them with an opportunity to audition for a local indie/alternative adult film studio. Stwalley assured many women that they “TOTALLY have the look they’re going for” and could earn anywhere from $1,200 to $3,500 a day. To be considered for these upcoming opportunities, all they needed to do was “audition with one of our specially chosen ‘hunks’.”

When the women showed up for their "auditions," Hickey identified himself as Stwalley's photographer, shooting photos that were supposedly “for the purposes of scouting proofs and reference material for employment only.”

In fact, Hickey used these photos for his own purposes, and to this day, the photos still appear online, Ferguson said.

Finally, prospective actresses auditioned by having sex with Hickey, Ferguson said. “Stwalley” told women that the sex was an “attitude test” necessary to secure jobs. Stwalley explained that Hickey’s written review of each woman’s sexual performance would be included in her talent portfolio.

In reality, Hickey never made any effort to find work for his victims, and he had no contacts or experience in the adult entertainment industry.

Hickey also created a second fake profile named Chrissy Baaten to serve as an endorsement of Stwalley and her business. That profile was registered with the email address [email protected], the attorney general said.

The complaint asks the court to order Hickey to stop his deceptive practices, provide restitution to victims, and impose civil penalties of up to $2,000 per violation. Each unfair or deceptive act Hickey committed in furtherance of his “business” could constitute a separate Consumer Protection Act violation.

Many things came to mind as I read that.

In a way it's creepy.
In another way it's a unique idea.
The guy must of had lots of free time and went through a lot of trouble to set all of that up.
Although they were tricked, the chick's greed for money or desire to be in the porn business cancels out some of the "emotional trauma and unconscionable loss of privacy through his deception” they supposedly endured.
Chloroform and rope weren't involved so we know it wasn't Lloyd.

So am I guessing if he would have forwarded some of the resumes to legit porn companies, everything he did would have been "okay?"

We need TUSCLs legal team to weigh in on this.

I think so. His mistake was not doing anything to further the girls' porn careers, which makes what he did fraud. He could have contacted porn companies and made some money as a porn star agent as well as fucking the girls.

I wish I had the audacity to try something like this. I could incorporate and have business cards printed and write off my strip club visits as business expenses. "Jackslash: Adult Movie Agent."

Pornhub has a series of videos about a fake casting agent who has women "audition" for him.

Wow. Us PL's think we are the one's getting hustled when in fact the honey's probably get hustled far more than us. Imagine being a young honey from a broken home having never been taught to take care of herself. Rife to be a victim of hustlers after their pussy and/or money.

Other "news" outlets seem to be reporting that Mr. Hickey was also accused of raping women unable to give consent outside of his fake-porn-recruiting service. Like he'd meet them on a dating site and slip them a drink, rape them, then leave them groggy a la Bill Cosby.

It seemed that he just got too hungry or too careless allegedly raping too many women and some of them are starting to file charges.

Did this happen in San Jose?
This reminds me of "fake photographers" who post ads looking for models to pose in lingerie. They are preying on young, broke, pretty girls and have no intention of helping them with a career in modeling. They are simply doing it to get the girls alone in a room, so they can take photos of them for their own personal use, hopefully get them naked, and maybe even get lucky and sleep with them. Creepy.

Yeah, The Fake Photographer thing has gone on for a long time. Forwarding or doing his own paywalled nudie site probably would have been the best thing. Who knows start paying them a little and he could still have the website like phil flash, and he could be rolling in it.

The rape thing is probably going to land him in jail and well, with drawls suck.

From a legal perspective, the interesting thing is that it sounds like this is more of a civil proceeding rather than criminal. So the guy is not facing jail, he will just be exposed to monetary liability. And he can pretty easily get out of that by hiding assets, declaring bankruptcy, etc. So it may be unlikely that this hurts him much in the end.
