I know why we don't have it now.

Unless you live in a big city, when's the last time any of us had to parallel park?

Besides, we have valets at the strip clubs to park our cars anyways... ;)

That's quite a contraption – sorta reminds me back in the late-80s or early-90s when Honda had a car w/ four-wheel steering (i.e. the front *and* back wheels would both turn) – I think it may have been a special edition of a Prelude – or maybe just a concept car – can't remember.

4 wheel steering is more common than you think, it's used mainly to help reduce the turning radius of larger cars, and to help sporty cars take on corning better.

I know at one time is was an option on GMC Denali vehicles, Infiniti FXs, and didn't the Mitsubishi 3000GTs and Dodge Stealths of the 90's have it as an option too?

There are cars w/ four-wheel traction like the Audis and I believe also Subaru – but four-wheel *steering* where the back tires turn as much as the front tires I don't really recall seeing in any car on the street.

This is what I meant (I guess it did make it to production):

4 Wheel directional steering was and is amazing on sports cars. The 80s toyota celica rally addition had it as well as the 3000 gt vr4. I had one i bought off a dentist that was going thru a divorce. That car was so heavy, but that twin turbo would make your asshole pucker.
