Oh that's just Hunky Dory. Here I thought some of the phrases were American phrases. I do believe that I rarely ever say most of these phrases though. Must be British. I do wonder about the use of the word mate. One British solder called me mate before when he asked me to watch his wallet while he went to the john. Just because I had been sitting beside him for about an hour in a crowded strip club didn't make me one of his buddies. They probably thought everyone in there was a solder. All the strip clubs in town were swamped with a massive joint training exercise with the 82nd airborne and tens of thousands of British solders.
The word brilliant fell out of fashion years ago, as did the phrase 'hunky dory'.
