Daytona area clubs for race weeks or bike events

Next weekend marks the start of race season with the Rolex 24 hour race on saturday January 24th beginning just after 2pm and ending the following day at the same time. These are cars in 3 or 4 classes that share the track for a whole day rotating drivers every few hours. It is a classic style motorsports event and well worth attending if you're into this sort of thing like me.

I've recently reviewed several of the area's clubs including an update today that was necessary for Biggins which is in nearby daytona beach shores which will likely become my "go to" club in this area.

In case there are visitors who don't know the area there are clubs listed in five different cities here on TUSCL which are easy driving from daytona. Those cities in case you want to check out the local flavors and favors are as follows; Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach shores, Deland, New Smyrna Beach and Ormond Beach. The club in ormond beach may be closed now but I haven't confirmed that with my own eyes. Also in daytona some of the clubs are more seasonal or event based such as Club Topic which seems to be back in business now but only on select nights.

The two clubs in deland may simply not be worth the drive based on previous experience and reviews on here. I cannot say that I've been to either of the two clubs listed in deland in quite some time now.

The club in new smyrna beach is an interesting club albeit almost a half hour drive from daytona beach proper.

The clubs in Daytona Beach and Daytona Beach Shores are mostly worth attending. See my most recent reviews of some of these clubs that I frequent.

Also keep in mind that all of the daytona area clubs benefit from an influx of fresh talent during the popular tourist events such as bike week and race events. For almost any club I frequent here it is worth checking them out during these events as there are almost always new faces and bodies to check out.

    IR,

Did the "24" back in the 60's a couple of times. Even then it was to much. :)

I've never attended the whole 24 hrs. I usually go for 3-4 hours at a time for 1-2 visits during the race.

We camped out in the infield, as I recall.
