The shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. at Big T’s, located at 413 Southwest Glacier Avenue, said Sgt. Curtis Chambers, declining to say whether the incident occurred inside or outside the building.

Police also withheld several other details, due to the pending investigation, but Chambers said one person was wounded and taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, then released.

"A suspect has been identified and is in police custody at this time,” Chambers said, adding that “the general public is not in danger.”

“We are not releasing any details of the incident, include names of those involved, as the investigation is still ongoing,” Chambers said in an e-mail, adding that more information is not likely to be released until at least Monday.

Unconfirmed police scanner reports indicated two people were wounded, one more seriously than the other, and that a Deschutes County sheriff’s office tracking dog was called in to help look for a suspect.

Chambers would not comment on a posting by Big T's on their Facebook page that someone accidentally shot themselves in the neck.
