Horry County[SC] police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred within a few blocks of one another and less than half an hour apart.

No arrests have been made directly related to the shootings, which appear to be unrelated, said police spokesman Lt. Robert Kegler.

At about 3:40 a.m. Thursday, four black males in a white, Chevy “Trailblazer type of vehicle,” stopped on April Gray Drive near Tiffany’s Cabaret and opened fire at three security officers and patrons in the parking lot, according to a police report.

The security officers returned fire. There were no apparent injuries in the shooting.

Later, a witness who was towing a vehicle on Fountain Pointe Lane said he saw four black males exit a GMC Envoy.

All of the suspects were armed with guns and one of the suspects was overhead bragging about a shooting.

“We shot them up good,” the suspect said, according to the report.

Police were unable to locate the vehicle when they arrived, but officers were provided with a license plate number. Investigators confirmed the tags were registered to a GMC Envoy.

The shooting comes weeks after Solicitor Jimmy Richardson filed a series of injunctions aimed at cracking down on several area adult entertainment establishments that court records say have become public nuisances.

Tiffany’s Cabaret is one of the businesses Richardson is targeting, according to civil court documents.

Richardson was in court Thursday and couldn’t be reached for comment as of this posting. Kegler deferred comment regarding the solicitor office’s efforts to Richardson.

In July, Richardson said he’s only targeting clubs and businesses with complaints of prostitution, drug sales and other public nuisances.

“It’s like a beehive, you can destroy each bee or take the whole hive down,” he said.
