Five people face formal charges of dealing cocaine and other drugs following a police raid of a strip club on the Near Westside.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Indiana State Excise Police raided Patty's Show Club in the 2000 block of West Washington Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to an IMPD report.
Arrested on various drug-dealing charges were Cynthia Baker, 31; Desiree Bey, 21; Kayla Fisher, 28; Paul Komyatti, 48; and Tameka McCullough, 26.
All five are employees at the club, said A.J. Deer, spokesman for the Marion County prosecutor. Baker, Bey and Fisher are dancers. McCullough is a waitress. And Komyatti is a doorman.
Police also arrested a bystander — Michael Willoughby, 33, Indianapolis — on a preliminary charge of marijuana possession, a lesser offense than those faced by the other five suspects.
The raid was the culmination of a months-long investigation into the club, police said. Officers entered the business with warrants authorizing them to search the premises.
Undercover detectives began buying drugs at the club dating back to June 12, according to a probable cause affidavit filed last week in Marion Superior Court.
Baker, Bey and McCullough face felony cocaine-dealing charges. Bey also faces felony charges of dealing aprazolam, a prescription antidepressant. Fisher faces felony charges of dealing diazepam, a prescription anti-anxiety drug, and amphetamine, a prescription stimulant. Komyatti faces charges of dealing marijuana.
No one answered knocks at several doors at the business shortly after noon today, but a sign stated the business did not open until 1 p.m
