PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) -
An altercation at a Prichard strip club turned violent early Wednesday morning when a man opened fire and shot two other men.
The incident occurred around 3:10 a.m. on Dec. 28 at the Toy Box Gentlemen's Club at 312 Wilson Avenue in Prichard.
Police later arrested Aaron Lytaun Dunning, 30, of Mobile and charged him two counts of assault in the 2nd degree and one count of discharging a gun into an occupied building.
Dunning had previously been indicted on two counts of murder in 2004, but was later acquitted on those charges.
The two victims, who were both shot in their lower legs, were transported to USA Medical Center for treatment.
Police arrested Dunning after a short pursuit. Dunning was a passenger in a red Cadillac driven by 30-year-old James Willie Harris Jr. Harris was also arrested on charges of DUI and attempting to allude police.
Police say that the manager asked the two men men to leave because of their behavior, which instigated the shooting.
Police are not releasing the names of the victims at this time. Both were sustained non life-threatening injuries.
While Harris has no previous arrest records, Dunning's rap sheet stretches back to 1999, when he was first arrested for possession of crack cocaine. Along with murder, he's also been charged with resisting arrest, carrying a concealed handgun, obstructing justice, lying to police and numerous traffic violations-a crime spree that started when he was 18.
Harris and Dunning were released on bail early Wednesday morning.
