Justin Michael Bennett, 36, was arrested in the area of Fourth Street in Reno after police got a call about shooting at a motel. Authorities believe Bennett is responsible for firing a shot into the Sparks Police Department building Saturday night, arson at the unoccupied Verdi Post Office, leaving a threatening note and ammunition with an employee at the Wild Orchid strip club in Reno and firing multiple shots into the parking lot of the Fantasy Girls strip club, striking seven unoccupied vehicles. He also is suspected of breaking into the Spice House strip club Sunday night and setting several fires and firing a gun inside the business.
Police believed the crimes were connected and began their investigation accordingly. When Monday's call of shots fired came in, Reno police patrol officers saw the suspect vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop. The lone occupant, Bennett, was in possession of a handgun and was cooperative with police.
