WESTMINSTER, Colo. — Police say an argument at a suburban Denver strip club turned fatal when one patron killed another with a shotgun after an argument. Javier Ruacho-Benitez was killed early Wednesday outside the Saturday Night Live Gentleman's Club. Authorities say the victim was arguing in the parking lot with 25-year-old John Paul Valdez, who allegedly opened his trunk, grabbed a 12-gauge shotgun and fired the fatal shot. KDVR-TV reports ([view link] ) that a patrol shift supervisor for the Adams County Sheriff's Office was nearby and heard the shot. After a car chase, Valdez wrecked his car and allegedly fled on foot. Valdez was taken into custody after a police dog sent to look for him bit him. Valdez was hospitalized for the dog bite.
