Lansing man shot multiple times inside strip club, suspect in custody Published: Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 10:08 AM Updated: Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 10:08 AM By Brandon Howell | [view link] A 30-year-old man shot another man multiple times Wednesday morning at Centerfolds strip club in Lansing, police say. LANSING -- A 30-year-old man is behind bars awaiting arraignment after police say he shot another man multiple times inside a Lansing strip club. Lansing police were dispatched to Centerfolds, 5910 S. Pennsylvania Ave., around 1 a.m. Wednesday after a report of shots fired inside the establishment. While en route, officers received additional information that the incident had a victim. Officers arrived at the scene and found a 32-year-old Lansing man who had sustained multiple shots to his torso, Lansing police Lt. Noel Garcia said. The victim told police he did not know why he was shot but that he knew the suspect by name. The victim informed police of the suspect, including a description of his vehicle. Officers then canvassed the area and found the suspect's vehicle on Eureka Street. Police, with guns drawn, ordered the suspect out of the vehicle. The suspect complied and was arrested without further incident. The victim sustained serious injuries that do not appear to be life threatening, Garcia said. The victim underwent surgery at a local hospital and is recovering. The suspect is expected to be arraigned Wednesday or Thursday, Garcia said.

    It's still interesting. I mean, I am a guy. :) It's kind of like asking people who are looking for escorts/prostitutes why are they posting in a forum for strip clubs?

    and I thought Washington Park, Illinois and E St. Louis clubs were bad as far as violence.

    every time I read this I think WOW... I'm glad I haven't been in a club when that happens! It seems like it's happening more and more often, has any of our regular posters ever been in a club when something like this happens???... Its starting to really make me a bit nervous...

    This club has a history of violence. It's located on a major street in Lansing, close to a car dealership, a bank, and shopping center. But it's not far from the 'hood. The wannabe gangstas that frequent the parking lot are scary, but the dancers inside are even scarier. Woof woof. In 2001 there was murder that resulted from an argument that started in the club and again in 2006 there was a murder in the parking lot. And last year - a Michigan State Trooper of all people - was charged with 10 counts of rape. He was charged with raping a waitress he had offered a ride home. He was eventually acquitted on all but 2 counts and the jury was undecided on those. Some people in Lansing like this club - it has a reputation of being the most extras friendly club in town, but you have to be pretty desperate if you settle for these gals. It's a horrible club. If you're stuck in Lansing, there are a couple of better clubs, or it's not really that far to the Detroit suburbs. So chimark, don't be nervous - just be careful.
