Polk County Couple Charged with Obscenity for Homemade Porn

POLK COUNTY, Fla.—Big Brother is at it again in Polk County. An amateur performer who shoots under the name Kimberly Kupps and her husband were arrested by Polk County Florida deputies this weekend following a three month investigation into the small adult business she and her husband ran out of their Lake Wales home. Kupps allegedly shot homemade adult video and uploaded them to her own site and also to Clips4Sale.com.

“The Polk County Sheriff's Office began investigating Theresa Taylor, 55, in March after receiving tips that she was making and distributing porn from her home at 926 S. Lakeshore Blvd.,” theledger, com reported. “An investigator paid the initial $19.95 membership fee to her website, kimberlykupps.com, where he found videos of [Kupps] having sex with men and women, as well as offering some of the clothes she wore in the videos for sale.”

Six videos were downloaded and shown to County Judge Reinaldo Ojeda for review. In April, Ojeda ruled the videos were obscene material under state law. The investigators also allegedly obtained emails proving that sexually explicit videos were shot at the couple's home. The article states that Kupps husband admitted to police that the couple shot and uploaded videos for money, and that they had made an average of $700 a month for the past four months.

Kupps was booked on six counts each of selling obscene material and distributing obscene material, both misdemeanors. She was also charged with felony wholesale promotion of obscene material. Her husband was booked on six counts each of wholesale promotion of obscene material and distribution of obscene material, a misdemeanor.

I wonder when they're going to go after Christina Hopkins for the same thing. She lives in Florida.

and in OTHER news...several violent criminals continue to elude police in Polk County Florida. Police say they just don't have the manpower to keep up with the violence.

No doubt, PrimO. Go for the headlines, pigs, arresting non-violent (so-called offenders)

Some times the law protects us from obsenities.

Nice. But I don't need to be protected from obscenities. I have a brain that can discern the difference between what I want to see and what I don't.

This kind of thing gets me angry. Obscenity laws should be protecting us from sick shit like child porn and bestiality, not from consenting adults making homemade porn.

But Daisy, they're all the same thing, didn't you know that?

Misguided government should encourage it. This country might actually start making things again, like porn.
