Police Officer Modesto Alamo, 35, was repeatedly stabbed in the abdomen around 5:15 a.m. while trying to pull his stripper girlfriend out of a melee inside the Crazyhorse Cabaret on Boston Road, near Provost Avenue, in Edenwald, according to sources.
The woman, a dancer at the club, drove Alamo by private vehicle to Jacobi Hospital, source said. He is in stable condition.
Police investigate the scene of the early-morning melee at the Crazyhorse strip club, where a cop was stabbed trying to break up a fight.
She had initially called Alamo for a ride home but told him to come inside once he arrived because there was a big fight, sources said.
The argument had started between two women and spiraled out of control, sources added.
Alamo, a 7-year NYPD veteran, suffered multiple puncture wounds to his stomach, as well as leg, as he tried to rescue the woman from the fracas, sources said.
Surprisingly, Alamo didn't realize he had been attacked until he was outside and his horrified girlfriend noticed blood on his shirt, sources added.
Cops are still hunting the suspect and the club remains closed as investigators work the crime scene inside.
Earlier in the day, cops had also shut down the nearby Route 1 bridge into Pelham Manor as detectives scoured for clues. The roadway has since been reopened.
Alamo had once been assigned to the 52nd Precinct but was put on modified duty about two years ago and transferred to the Queens pound, sources said. Alamo was allegedly involved with a gypsy car service, sources added.
The Crazyhorse Cabaret last made headlines in 2005.
In the wee hours of Dec. 10, Brancato and pal Steven Armento were boozing and hanging out there before the duo tried to rob a Pelham Bay home and got into a fatal shootout with an off-duty cop.
Officer Daniel Enchautegui, 28, was killed when he confronted the pair outside his neighbor's home.
The two drunken thugs were looking to steal prescription painkillers from a suspected drug dealer's home.
Armento, packing a .357 Magnum revolver, blasted Enchautegui with a bullet to the heart while Brancato stood nearby.
The dying officer managed to squeeze off a few rounds from his service 9mm Glock firearm, hitting both Armento and Brancato. He soon succumbed to his mortal wounds.
Armento, 52, is serving life without parole for first-degree murder while Brancato is doing 10 years behind bars for burglary. He was acquitted of murder charges.

I like a good chick fight as much as the next guy, but sounds like this one went too far.
