Cop Busted Ferrying Hookers Around

New York, Apr 29 (ANI): An auxiliary cop has been accused of providing protection to a Brooklyn brothel, ferrying hookers to casinos and threatening to kill a snitch.

Buzz up!Levy Sharon, assigned to Bensonhurst's 62nd Precinct, even married the lady of the house so that she could get a green card, revealed officials.

"Perhaps most troubling, Sharon uses his NYPD uniform for purposes of profit and intimidation," the New York Daily News quoted assistant U.S. Attorney Cristina Posa as saying in court papers that contained a shocking list of accusations.

Prosecutors said that an unpaid auxiliary cop for six years, Sharon collected 400-dollars a month in protection money from accused madam Ozada Djalilova.

He regularly visited the Ocean Ave. den in his auxiliary police uniform to check the prostitutes' immigration documents.

According to the feds, it was a thinly veiled threat they would be deported if they got out of line.

To prevent Djalilova from being sent back to her native Uzbekistan, Sharon entered into a sham marriage with her in 2008 - for 30,000 dollars.

Sharon claimed in court documents that he lives with his ex-wife and is "separated" from the madam.

The FBI got to know of the cop's involvement in February after the brothel was robbed and Djalilova openly admitted she was running a hooker ring.

Djalilova and Sharon were arrested last week on a sealed complaint.

At a bail hearing Wednesday, a prosecutor revealed Sharon had threatened Djalilova's ex-boyfriend, who was a witness to the sham marriage.

Defense lawyer Michael Schneider said his client was guilty of nothing more than using "salty language."

Sharon was ordered held without bail.
