Movie Review: The Last Song
As an experienced strip clubber knows, when you go to a strip club and you spot a true hottie onstage, you tip on the first song, when her clothes are still on. She appreciates the interest and the deal will be locked if you return for the second song as well. And so it is with Miley Cyrus. She's done her first post Disney movie, and if the movie bombs, there might not be a second movie. This girl isn't afraid of challenges, unlike a lot of actresses out there. Give her a few roles, and she'll be twirling a stripper pole, wearing nary but a smile. However, it won't happen if we don't tip on the first song (movie).
With that said, it is a chick flick. A 18 year old New Yorker (without a New York accent) is transplanted to South Carolina, to spend the summer with her father-because she's been acting out (no tatoos) and she just turned down a music scholarship to Julliard. Minutes after being there, she literally runs into a buff hot young blonde surfer boy who is a gentleman and has her best interests at heart.
Well, you can see where this story goes, so nuff said. I'm just saying, support your fave dancer on the first song, and she'll reward you.
